FOR MEN AND HELPING WIVES
Sexual pragmatism

Poetry
I have saved a few
from prostate table
they listened to me
the doctor promised them
an operation in six months

its 19 years now
they have had sex
and
masturbated(as and when)
wives also cooperated
and
they have avoided
the removal of their prostate
yet continue.
to enjoy sex

after all
one day
we all have to die
but
why lead a eunuch’s life
after removing prostate gland
can anyone say

that’s why I always request wives
to have sex with their hubby’s
if they love them
or else let them die
and
save your vagina
for someone else
or remain a happier widow.
choice is entirely yours

and today such procedures are less common to other cures.
As with any poet there will be likes and dislikes, so please no hard feelings (no pun) but I do not like this poem. I don't find it funny, and does not use imagination, charged words, images, emotion or much to try to convince some guy with advanced prostate cancer to avoid life-saving surgery. Men do die from it, I have known some. I would hope such a complete removal of the organ is last resort, but the whole theme is worthy of a discussion somewhere outside of poetry.

For me it is not the best example of your work which so often has deep and compassionate content. Its fine to experiment and show different looks, but you certainly wouldn't want a new visitor to the site view this as typical of your of poetry...
