Comprehensive Criminal Coverage:

One court all times
One standard for all war crimes
One verdict all climes

Last few words:
War crimes are not just limited to certain climes (climactic regions), and when the war crimes are identified there needs to be one court (the ICC) to have the jurisdiction to initiate the war crimes proceedings against any and all war criminals. When the individuals / groups are proved to be guilty of war crimes, then the same verdict for all war crimes at all times needs to be enforced. All lives matter equally and the neo-colonial mentality needs to be archived to the pages of a dark history.

Using your phraseology, it is not the pack you punch but the punch you pack.

It reads good. In reality, it is an over ambitious ideal. I personally know a number of victims of war crimes. However, the war crimes are determined by the "powers," but not by the jurists. In most cases, these are nothing more than the political games. So sad! I wish you success in your pursuit of the ideal.

Tipping point: thanks to 24x7 news coverage and ease of recording and transmitting due to satellite and mobile technology, there are an exponentially growing number of persons who are aware of war crimes being commited. We are very quickly heading towards a tipping point when serial war criminal regimes will be held accountable and face punishment.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

Today a blatant and leading war criminal called the UN "a moral farce".

I see Poetry in particular and Art in general as a means to to try and shine the spotlight on the rogues and scoundrels in power that cynically exploit power for their twisted purposes. I reiterate that a tipping point is fast approaching and the serial war criminals will be held to account for their war crimes.

we are infinitely mutable.
I wonder if you realise, Gemma, that you express conservative views?

A new workshop on the most important element of poetry-
'Rhythm and Meter in Poetry'
https://www.neopoet.com/workshop/rhythm-and-meter-poetry

during active war..anything goes
and brilliant minds are salvaged and rewarded
Von Braun as an example
mere soldiers following orders hung
while the over run populace were ground up
lives extinguished multiplicity abound

some merely escaped
living out grand old lives

UN.....canada belonged to this
Rhwanda a ghastly place
the villagers poor not taken up
arms or forced into conflict were
slaughtered about a contingent
of vehicles...sure they had guns
but alas...not too use them...
I know of soldiers who still
deal with this today
and in Syria...those poor people
trying too help the poor slaughtered
in their convoy as a point made
that there are no rules when it
comes to war.

if dictators come to rule or fear
based democrasy.....they would
scour the net and round up the
intellectuals...and poets..artists.
as they did in soviet russia
and other places...
anyone not fearful enough too
speak up...

true story....
this has happened and will
happen..there will always
be wars and crimes

excellent poem and expression
of how the poet feels about
this nasty business
Thank U!

Thanks for your detailed review. You have identified several areas that have been in the mainstream news but unfortunately there are several more areas that do not attract the same major network coverage where a similar tragedy is occurring. The military industrial complex in many nations sets the agenda overriding the basic needs of the people that still remain unfulfilled in the 21st century. Mars expeditions are already being planned and the search for intelligent life in the Universe is continuing but nations still seem to lack the intelligence to locate and preserve human lives in high tech conflicts still enveloping this planet.

a friend of mine who is rather well connected
well...i slip in with the top hat low flying casual
too the struggling street vendor of wisdom
and survival...
the top dog showed me a movie
one day at the end of a day
we toured about doing business
gaurd dog in a camper
dvds we watched

it was with Nicolas Cage..he was a gunlord
or warlord...based on true events
and my present girlfriend showed me
and mde me watch a movie about the
congo and child soldiers
she is very empathic and caring
stands her ground and speaks her
mind...meaning she has little backing
..the bright who can see things clearly
are very brave and it costs them
but believing in the horror and unjust
of the world is better then forgetting
of those crushed under the heel of
opression..paying with it their innocent
blood for a mere profit of the equpiment
of wars....No war...no need of the use
for the expensive equiipment....thuse
the need to always have war...

excellent poem about the truths of
how human life is nothing
very empathic

thank U for your vision of how
all lives are worthy!

Voltaire: "It is forbidden to kill, therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets".

very true...
masada..wounded knee
djabrosnik
now tourist sites
including the camps

jericho...the walls fell
too the sounds of trumpets
although they say that was
just the miners digging out
the fortifications
the noise to cover the work
below...

a good poem!

stalin took over
he did in his own people
by the millions
Pol Pot too

war is a necasary evil
making many advancements
and without offense and
defense countries would
just be over run
and destroyed which
happens anyway
Nepal...for example

loved that song
One tin soldier
if we could only live
in peace and built
a greater world
but the more briliant
we become the more
our agressive primal
nature over rides
everything else...

I think artificial intelligence
created by man will inherit
the same traits
all our great gaming platforms
are violence based..horror

our young girl wanted not a
Wii game with sports and fun
dancing..But
good ol XBOX with its immediate
violence and action with soundtrack

she moved on...but I kept the xbox
my primitive craving for it
kept up!

mind U I play HOMEFRONT and
C all of duty where U fight for
I want too say freedom
but in the end who profits
but the profiteers

a great poem
that has wrought much
commenting and thought
Thank U!

a few strung up...qaurtered..tortured

the same billing on the marquee of life!

mop up the blood
and keep on partying....

good old mankind!

A few words about fewer words in your review responses. I can tell that you are an exceptional thinker and have myriad ideas and facts on many issues. I like Rhyku (and Haiku) because it is an example of Japanese minimalism. The Japanese have mastered the art and science of nanobots, Bonzai and Haiku where Less Is More. I would appreciate it if you could provide less details in your reviews and those of us who are slower on the uptake can also digest the advice and suggestions.
Thanks for your reviews.

If that would be appreciated

thank U!

Esker, till you achieve the minimal level, please continue to write in. You do have a unique way of expressing your ideas and I will try to understand as much as I can.
