COMPASSION

COMPASSION

They never will understand that I’m afraid,
petrified, and paralyzed, knowing what
I will become before my soul is set free.
they don’t see me anymore and have
shut the door to love, care and affection
these “models of compassion.”
they don’t know my defeats and small victories,
not how I spend the day unable to live as others do
who have not been stricken to crawl the earth
like a wounded animal in hunger and thirst.
They don’t see me…

Last few words:
Albert Einstein “A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” ― Albert Einstein tags: compassion, einstein, nature, philosophy 5198 likes Like Bob Marley “One love, one heart, one destiny.” ― Bob Marley tags: bob-marley, compassion, destiny, heart, humanity, inspirational, love 3919 likes Like Steve Maraboli “Dare to Be When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully. When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light. When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it. When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway. When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back. When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some. When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going. When times are tough, dare to be tougher. When love hurts you, dare to love again. When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal. When another is lost, dare to help them find the way. When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand. When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile. When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too. When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best. Dare to be the best you can – At all times, Dare to be!” ― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free tags: compassion, dare-to-be, gratitude, inspirational, life, motivational, seize-the-day, smile, success 3710 likes Like Tahereh Mafi “All I ever wanted was to reach out and touch another human being not just with my hands but with my heart.” ― Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me tags: compassion, empathy, loneliness, love 3346 likes Like Arthur Schopenhauer “Compassion is the basis of morality.” ― Arthur Schopenhauer tags: compassion, morality, morals 2308 likes Like Anne Frank “No one has ever become poor by giving.” ― Anne Frank, diary of Anne Frank: the play tags: charity, compassion, helping-others, kindness 2276 likes Like Mother Teresa “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” ― Mother Teresa tags: compassion, connecting, humanity, inspirational, love, sharing 1976 likes Like Steve Maraboli “How would your life be different if…You stopped making negative judgmental assumptions about people you encounter? But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud --- the obstacles of life and its suffering. ... The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. ... Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lotus and open each petal one by one. ” ― Goldie Hawn tags: compassion, depression, flower, growth, illness, kindness, obstacles, perseverance, wisdom 751 likes Like Albert Camus “I have no idea what's awaiting me, or what will happen when this all ends. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. However, you are not alone. Generations of women in your family have chosen. Women around the world have chosen. We all have chosen at one time in our lives. When we focus on ourselves, our world contracts as our problems and preoccupations loom large. But when we focus on others, our world expands. That you suffer so is not of the Spirit it is of the body, how else would a Spiritual creature know of suffering if they did not have a body to suffer so.
As the night flows over your closed eyes, always remember that there is another place beyond that is light, then as you understand that light, it will hold you eternally.
