The Blinder Side of Fate

I've made my choice
as to where I stand,
I've greatly considered the source;

I sure hope things
turn out...as planned;
we must stay true, the course.

I have completed
each, and every detail,
things should go - without a "hitch";

we all must "focus"
and not, derail;
good intentions, could land us in a ditch!

We co-operated
quite stellerrlally,
to get everything under, way;

we checked everything out
not once, twice, but thrice;
and nothing, gave a minute of "play".

We purchased it all
way, in advance,
and our "checklist" was completely done;

all warnings, given
and advice, we will heed
'tis now, that our journey's begun.

We'll put all our efforts
to the "test"
moving forward, as on we go;

still trying to learn
as I try and best the rest,
tells me how little I know.

We'll pause to pray
and hopefully, find favor
in a chapter from the gods;

with precision efforts
we will suffer the "win",
I hope "fate", can calculate the odds.

This is not only different from your recent fair, but well put together and moving. I recognize this poet.
I have a weird question and if you're not too mad at me already to answer I would love one. I note a great deal of commas in places through many of your poems where I would not use them. No master of grammar and punctuation am I, but I think I have a pretty good idea of the rules. Occasionally they seem used to add an extra "trick" (so to speak) to a phrase. However, many are to my eyes somewhat superfluous. Is there reason behind your madness.
Again, this is an excellent and more to the reason I read you in the first place.
