Azimuth

I watch as twilight
creeps over the Brothers,
stars re-birth
beckoning over
mountains

a shimmering black mantel
conceals Azimuth,
her seductive ebony lips

slide,
over the lamp

A visage of ivory
looks upon earth, drifting
shadow to shadow
passing as a will-o-wisp
of ebony vistas,

always out of reach

still,
the Horizon
mesmerizes me,
ebony lips and a mantel
of seduction,
rolls with reverence effaced,
Azimuth’s arms await,

shaded in Grey, I stand east
as the Brothers release her folds

I am ever watchful
reaching for her hold

I think I should maybe withold judgement until I hear the background behind this poem. Only then can I give an informed response.

A lovely write of things you can see, I rem a hymn when I was young about all things Bright and Beautiful, going on to talk about the Purple Headed mountains, it was years after my young days that I was in Cyprus and there one evening, just after sunset, were the purple headed mountains, never to be forgotten.
There are many things that we probably have seen that others should see, but it is all in the soul. Stan's trees and even Gee's Killer have a beauty of their own, they are places that the thoughts go to play.

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

What a beautiful thing to say ... I usually write of things I see

all the poets here have a beauty thats all their own ... in our sadness or happiness we all come together making the site truely multicultural and wonderful
