All I Ever Need Be (for Steven)

All I Ever Need Be
(for Steven)

your laughter
is like a bubbling fountain,
flowing over time in the sunlight.

your smile,
like a beacon on the mountain side
flashing there alone for me.

your eyes,
buoy me up when I flounder
as if I were drowning.

you hold me in your mind
as comforting thoughts,
and for you, I blossom.

when the earth shakes
when strong winds come,
you are my shelter from the storm.

I am your dearest,
your favored darling
for you, I am all I ever need be...

A poetic unit of three lined poem makes the reader enjoys each lines as one continue reading till the end.

I believe you are describing someone's who's part of your life and had impacted very much around you. Perhaps your lovely husband. With few poetic language you are describing his disposition.

I applaud your literary mind in your beautiful weaving of words. Title is good and from stanza one till end dovetailed. (Skillfully fitted)
