’’love that night’’

’’love that night’’

That night never ceases to be
a night of my life
of all my dreams,
of those small little pieces of love
I had always forever nursed
in my minds youthful eyes
that day, decades away.

The sweet perfume
the smell of love,
the perfect smile,
the mooning eyes
all were simple imaginations,
caste upon my mind,
you too smiled
and looked right into my eyes,
darkness fell for a while
it stole you from my eyes
that night love
that still does remain,
the brightest one down memories lane

I haven’t lost another one
like I did you,
that was decades away
how true
but twas like it was just last night.

Through the windy fields of dreamy imagination
I still search for that wee moment
when you gazed
into the depths of my heart
and left me amazed
then in the twinkle of an eye
you flew into eternity,
to leave me lonely
but still I see you
as my first love daily
that was
love that night
many decades passed
my love ain’t I right!

Oh My G look what you have written:-

that was decades away
how true
but twas like it was just last night.

Loved maybe it was last night lol, How times fly when you are having fun.
I knew that your write would be there as I spoke to you about reading it now lol,
Great words and rhythm and a glimpse into another dimension where we can dwell if the memory is good enough, I am still grinning, Yours Ian.T

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

'Each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star,
shall draw the Thing as he sees It, for the God of Things as They are.'
(Rudyard Kipling)

I composed it soon after i commented on yours

and who cares whether loved is single or married...
how old the young bard can be
will keep the ilk of poets guessing
as loved's an actor of poetry
no one knows
who the poet maybe
unanimously
anonymously
poetry will still flow
freely
when loved is in the poetic stance
words flow,
like an avalanche
who knows who gets buried

loved
