I must have fallen out of love for poetry

Is it a phase? Nothing excites me anymore about poetry. I don't know.
I'm not even writing anymore. I'm not even reading anymore.

I feel alike when I am busy with other mundane chores. "am going to quit": I say to myself.
Maybe you are occupied with other interests?

I believe it is a passing phase or call them mood swings..we are human and it is said that like most artists poets are moody...as you will most likely discover something will sooner than later definitely spark a latent idea in your sub conscious into a poem..we will all be eager to red it when it happens..

I'm not working on the big poem right now. I'm almost afraid of the thing, but I know that will change. One must simply look at one's writing from a different point of view. Don't write in the way you wrote. Write about something you don't want to write about.
The most important part is that you must want to write. Even if you can't right now you have to want to.
The fact that you posted tells me you want to write.

In some cultures the word for work is the same word as for play.

This old guy has many problems about wanting to write, many blame their Muses and say they have left them.
Don't worry about anything its a normal thing, the fact that you have told us means that you just aren't ready to write at the moment.
You will return, I have spent a few years not writing, but just seemed to find other things to do, I shall wait for you to come back and write some more.
Hope you don't mind, use this barren time to edit your old works, or to record them.
Take care and still attend, and walk with us here, Yours as always, Ian

There is nothing like hearing the words aloud. If you would like me to record some of your works in my own voice, for a different perspective, I would be honoured to.
