I don't mean hate crimes, I mean hating things worth hating on this site.

Mi bi-polar enhancement and health issues tend to lead me to express extreme opinions, but don't some of you think the same things, moderated by politeness, concern, misguided nurturing?

The rank stupidity, lack of talent and ignorance of many Neopoets is worthy of harsh, not critique, but criticism.

Had some very good/bad news today. Results of a blood test showed I had a very serious Vit D deficiency, which has explained my lack of energy, motivation and various muscular/skeletal aches and pains. Easily remedial with supplements and should be a lot more on top of things within a few months.

That motivation and energy loss has contributed greatly to my depression, frustrated anger, loss of purpose and loneliness ( I haven't been getting out much). The mere knowledge of a cause and solution has improved my outlook.

but it's not my connection, other site are running fine.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've heard a lot of whines recently about lack of comments.
I've heard very few about lack of critical feedback.
They are mainly divided between those who are participating in workshops and those who aren't.

There is a small problem there we need to address.
Certainly Neopoet was conceived, designed and perpetuated as a place for poets to find a community where they could actively improve their craft, not just post poems and get compliments, yet we do need to be attentive and supportive to those who for any reason choose not to join workshops.

It's a lot in the ear of the listener. An anecdote-

I've heard several members saying they are having trouble with copy and paste. This usually occurs with things like smart phones or Kindle, but for normal purposes this link is very good.

Well, yes. I have been suspended 3 times and I deserved it. Each time was for my behaviour in chat, where I was mad, abusive and cruel. Chat is where I don't get to re-consider my reactions, but that is no excuse.

Only peevish wimps have ever complained about my presence on the site proper, it happened recently and the fool was slapped down without me having to say a word in my own defence. You know who you are, who has only posted 2 poems and panders to women. This is not a dating site.

I am curious as to which page people set as their bookmark/favorite to open Neopoet.

As many of you know I was recently extremely ill. What few of you know is that I have since been terrified that the illness caused permanent brain damage. I've been unable to think, focus, concentrate. On the occasions I tried to ride over it my poetry has been crap, my critique has been obtuse and insensitive and I tended to fly off into blind rages (that one's not new).

The worst of course are love poems.
Self confessional is usually self-indulgent rubbish, unless it skilfully engages the readers own depths.
Philosophically is likely to be trite rubbish.

The worst of all is 'inspirational'

I've done a lot of reading and critiquing lately and the quality of poetry here has dropped to mostly fucking boring.

Kailashana is right. Neopoet is dying from complacency.

Don't write for yourself, write for your reader and try to make a difference.
