Crossing the Styx

Finally was able to summon the courage to venture forth from my cave and after cunningly evading various devious traps and pitfalls, fighting my way through the savage hordes, crossing monster infested rivers, getting swallowed by a dragon and spewed back forth Jonahish, I glamoured the savage ogre on guard with my magical Immunity Deranger plaque and entered the demonic realm of the Preciousity Obtainers. There, to enhance my eternal wealth, and most likely my damnation, I made off with the two most dangerous and haunted tomes ever produced... The "Book of Styx" and "The Book of Styx II", written by that utterly awed and feared arch-demon Eddy Styx, known to the initiated as Candlewitch or Cat.

I sit now with the gruesome grimoires before me and with trembling hands open the cover.... AAAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ed. This document was found in front of the smoking remains of the neuromancer known as Weirdelf. The books referred to have been locked in lead, iron, gold and silver lined boxes and kept for the safety of the world in that really really big warehouse next to the Arc of the Covenant.

Got 'em,
thanks Cat.

So I hope that they were a pleasant surprise. if your eyes get tired from reading, you can glide your eyes over the interesting pictures, lol.

love, your friend, Cat

Great to read your Blog,
I hope that the journey into the realms of the dead gives you a better perspective of what life is all about.
I avoid the talons of the ones that are drawn into the shadows.
I have dared to walk in those shadows, there inside I took my inner light, it held reality in my eyes.
I searched for you but they muttered that another had escaped eternal unrest.
The river Styx flowed past my ways,
There without a shadow it flowed,
Then I knew I was safe from the ferryman.
Mind you I would have to borrow some money to even think of paying him.
You are safe young traveller the ferry is only for those that can never be saved by their deeds.
Love you as always, Yours Ian, (Smiling as he walked into his cave of peace)

I can only speculate that his soul itself was consumed by Cat's deadly tomes and so we need not fear for its fate, nor being haunted by said eery eldritch. (ed.)
