I am being harsh in feedback recently

because someone needs too.
I've been absent from feedback for a while due ill health and general apathy, that seems to be not just me but Neopoet. Jimmypringle was an arsehole but he was exactly what we needed. He is what I used to be. Otherwise we are are all playing the soggy biscuit game.
Come quickly and eat the soggy Sao. Poets can be such self indulgent wankers. And by the way, that game makes men come quickly and be lousy lovers. If there were a female equivalent it would work the same.
Encourage people like Billly, he wanted to improve the site, just like I have always done. Do you remember how many times I have got suspended? A lot. I have also been AC chair, AC member, Mentors Director, and Workshops director more than anyone else.
Us ratbag arseholes try to make things better,
cheers
Jess

I think there was always merit in your bad/harsh behavior, unless it was in chat when you were letting loose. When you fought against the sewing circle, you were fighting against something tangible. You openly explained why you were against the behavior. You could point out examples. You could even understand why the people involved acted the way they did, but knew it was not appropriate for Neopoet.

What was Billy fighting against? People who disagreed with his God status? He slung names like no one I've ever seen. He tore the shit out of any poem, as if no one here could make a coherent thought or correctly employ figurative language. His only concept of a constructive suggestion was to "trash this and start over".

When you were trying to disband the sewing circle, you focused on the participants and left others alone. Not Billy. He has a vendetta against every single person he interacts with on this site except you.

I have seen very few instances of Billy's "critiques" having merit. He critiqued one of my poems in a perfectly acceptable way. I replied, agreeing with some of his suggestions and disagreeing with others. His response was a new harsh critique of my work that seemed to come from nowhere. I realized he was reacting to my disagreeing with his "perfect" knowledge. Everything he said to me on that poem would have had merit if it was his actual initial reaction to my poem. It wasn't. It was his reaction to me saying the equivalent of "Thanks for the suggestions. I won't be using all of them and here's why".

I don't think I've ever seen you react that way to someone who accepted some of your ideas but not all of them. What it comes down to is Billy would become fucking infuriated if the poet exerted control over their own revisions. At that point they become nothing to him but idiotic, petty bullies who can only write rubbish.

PS: I could use some justified harshness on my poetry. I welcome yours and I'd be glad to reciprocate. Just point me in the right direction.

I just want to talk to him before he gets banned forever. I suspect he felt some of my fury without my intellect... ooops I mean conscience.

I do understand how much harm he has caused but consider this. Without someone talking to him reasonably he will probably come back and do it all again.

I really want to talk to him as I'm probably the only person he will listen to.

I always got in trouble in chat, I've never been banned for behavior on site, maybe he, like me, needs to consider drugs, alcohol and manic behavior before responding online.

However it works out, swamp-witch, I've got your back, no divided loyalties.

I know people tried talking to him reasonably, he just wouldn't have it. But I support your decision if you want to give it a try.

Of late of course if you have a few health issues it is going to effect your tolerance of bad poetry.
Your influence here is very well thought of, and I think that writers such as myself and Loved know that all in all you are correct.
Sometimes your words could be a little less harsh but we do know you young Jess and we do know when we have written crap.
I suppose we also play games with peoples ways, not meaning any harm but we do tend to push people until they retaliate.
As with Billy when he commented on a poem without bringing in the personal thing his comments were of the highest level, but woe betide the person that dared question his writing or remarks.
This is where you differ, you are part of the structure here and responsible nearly 100% of the time,
Billy, and I don't know why? had the ability to attack all he came across, even yourself.
If you can harness his ability to read, and comment on the writing then he could become a good member of Neopoet.
We must on the other hand take into account the damage he did during the last few weeks.
He had been a member for over a year and only in the last few weeks had he taken part in commenting.
I don't know what happened in his life Jess but maybe just maybe there is a reason for his behaviour.
I hope that the Committee gives you the chance to talk to Jimm Pringle.
Take care young Jess, and do let us know when you are not well, it only takes a tap of the keys, for us to be there for you,
Yours as always Ian.T

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Jess, you have always been forthright, and I respect your judgments for that. You never were cruel nor mean-spirited, and you always listened to reason.

Joe

too kind, I have been a cunt, but not a sociopath, always regretful afterwards. And yes, have listened to reason.

you have been my spiritual support on Neopoet for several years now. I might not have left, but only because there is no-where better to go.

I was wrong about pringle, I really tried to give him a chance but he basically said fuck off.

If you haven't already done it though you still owe an apology to Beau. She has left because of you, haddock and pringle but if you posted some apology it would certainly be passed on.

Jess
