Southerly Buster

On a warm, clear spring day the phone rings,
"I'm terrific, never better, and you?"
"There'll be no weather tomorrow"

No weather, any more, ever.

Jason died. Here in a blog I can say things I could not say in a poem. He was a Southerly Buster
http://www.bom.gov.au/social/2011/10/southerly-busters/
a force of nature.
As always, when someone close dies, part of oneself dies too, I am dying that death now.
He had long blonde hair, always, never cut it short after the age of twelve. His joy was expectations, his present was the disappointment of a man with the strength to know that "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
George Bernard Shaw"

He never gave up
and he always
maintained the rage.

I want to invent a god, in order to revile it, for allowing such a creature to be taken much too soon.

I'm very saddened for you for your friend's loss, dearest Jess. You two were fortunate to have known and loved one another. That's always a huge blessing.

Hug.

I'll not lie and say time will heal the wound but it Will make it more bearable......................stan

That you had the experience of being close to Jason is shown by your grief, then in your mind, you may make a God him/her that he may go to them.
This is the least we can do for someone that held our ways to such a depth.
That He still walks this path with you, and that you will meet again in a different form, will stretch your thoughts to an extreme..
I am glad that he knew you on this physical plain, where we can only know of you.
I hope that you can at least believe a little of the things I have been told and that Jason is but a thought away..
Yours as always, and reaching out to both of you, Ian.T

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

'Each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star,

Sorry to hear the bad news.
Hope to get some relief as time passes.

Grieve not for the one who goes

we all follow the leaders footsteps
and perhaps you may find time to read
my grief poem
which articulates that
man is born to die from day one..
death like a shadow follows one
each one,
its only the shortening and lengthening of the shadows
that makes a difference
but soon enough
ere we know
the candle blows
and the shadow also goes
think of the parted
and say it’s good they had a great day
and brought smiles on faces
of ailing humanity
say what you must say
one day I too shall pass away
and follow you will or may..

sad for you
nonetheless today...

I'm sorry for your loss. It must be a great one but this is life. It's more about what we lose than what we keep and gain,I believe

I have not ever been so crushed by someone's death before, even my father's.
The world has shrunk and gone dark.

I have already sent my condolances but I found this blog ... when we lose a friend or family a little part of us goes with them, time does pass and we might go a few hours without remembrance but at unexpected times that grief will cripple all over again I've lost a few friends over the last couple of years it never gets easy, I try to remember the times we spent together making our little world go round ... Ive seen you angry happy and sad but I dont think ive ever seen you heartbroken and so we all grieve with you

I read this at the suggestion of Ian. T and I am glad I did. I to have lost a very close friend, and reading that others experience this and understand is relieving. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I know that nothing I can say would help, because nothing anyone has said to me helped in the least bit. But I just thought I would thank you for this post.

Nat. Turning this into a poem kind of hurt but also helped a smigde too.
