Forgive and Forget

'Forgive and Forget'.
It's as easy as uttering the phrase.
Breathe deep! Count to ten,
remember the love that was there.
So I try.
I promise, I really, really try.

Forgive the names they called me.
Forgive the labels that stuck.
Forgive their expectations that were so high -
or maybe I had sunk to low.

Wet

Your words of love
bring me to tears
but when you speak
to me in tongues -
my body weeps.

Lindame

Opals strung nightly
Across evenings jet skies,
Sparkles of her voice.

Tox-ecology

Do we love our sunburnt country,
this land and sweeping planes?
Her abundance is exploited,
profit drilled out of her veins.

Of rugged mountain ranges,
of droughts and flooding rains.
A mining tortured landscape,
depleted resource, climate change.

Drought scars her broad horizons,
the Wilderness is burning.
Wildlife suffers death by fire
Ashes, to mother, are returning.

Blackberry

I fancy blackberry wine,
an earthy flavor
that spends time on my tongue
long after the sip is taken.

It sits with me this evening
amid the sound of robins
laughing at the two of us
as they abandon the day to rest.

The wine graces the glass,
but it's the blackberry
that cures my soul.
My companion when night must fall.

Priscilla's Dulce 'Poem'

I’ll turn,
you
into a poem,

So then,
you
I can keep,

Take a seat,
concrete
your my evidence,

Discrete,
with elite
hide in my closet,

This ink,
was meant
just for you,

Are you aware,
of just how
significant you are,

My dear,
my armor
is what shields you,

A golden halo,
illuminates the streaks
of your hair,

Like hope across,
your head
oh ye of much faith,

Landscape,
your mindscape
it’s all the same,

Heaven’s Stain

Beauty lies, and so it is underneath this skin where the eyes of winter green, and buttered chin are nursed of heaven’s stain. This love lives on in the darkness and the light. In the coolness of the night, and radical tempermant of the day…then for once, whence inside the head the mind may run wild, inviting the angels to stay. Once in a lifetime, love is forgiving. And beauty is its nemesis. This is where I am obliged to indulge on the same road where truth knows folly. And, happenstance is familiar with seduction.

The Accident

Confusion abounds as thoughts run wild,
The oldest adult is reduced to a child.
Time stands still or moves in sliding slow motion,
All meaning seems lost in the depths of an ocean.
Sounds echo back or are lost in a wail,
As terror reigns and fears prevail.
Crashing and slashing the noise cuts through
As soft men in white bend over you.
Soon they are gone and the night swallows all,
But the memory of it we will always recall.

The Blue Fairy

The soft wind
Flowing through the tall grass.
In that wind,
There is a fairy.
A fairy,
Who felt like she didn’t fit in.

No matter how hard she tried,
All the other fairies pushed her away.
Eventually,
She became sad.

Becoming a blue fairy doesn’t happen much,
But when it does,
That fairy usually shuts down.
It isn’t very often that they come back.
