Return Of All Repatriates:

Home was not built in a day: Several nations, including Ireland and many nations of former Warsaw Pact in Eastern Europe, were able to improve their economies due to the time, effort and financial contribution of their repatriates. The developing nations, formerly referred to as Third World nations, that have been in a developing nation status for decades would similarly improve and enter developed nation status with the input and physical presence of their repatriates. It is time for immigrants in western nations to answer the call of their respective nations and return to assist their nations. Similarly even those who were brought involuntarily to the West and who cannot trace their roots to one particular nation can adopt a nation in their continent of origin and work for its development. The fabled "land of milk and honey" or "city streets paved with gold" need not be geographically limited to any one nation or continent and the siren call for immigrants can be returning to their respective roots.

First are people truly unfortunate
Who are denied the right to return home
Their native land stolen by fickle fate
In an unwelcome world they live and roam

Second are persons desperate to leave
Cannot flee and are constrained to remain
They continue to exist while they grieve
For an elusive dream they won’t attain

Third are those who emigrated abroad
They choose to reside in a foreign land
As many their good fortune may applaud
At times they feel the loss of motherland

But fourth, like me, are the fortunate few
Living in the land of our ancestors
In our purview, where we renew and hew
Our future based on near and dear matters
