CLICHÈ Ann.

After looking in the web I found this ref:-

//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliché

And I was about to say what I thought it was; I refer to my mother's verses where the word silvern is repeatedly used, it might have some import in a poem in the Romantic period, but now appears totally fay (my own definition of fey); but why? Styles of writing change, and who are we to judge the poetry of another era when perhaps the word was used well, and didn't appear odd or cliché.

What is Art?

Ann's Ruff tranalation of a painter's poem on the Norwegian Poesiringen New Year 2011 :-
Her English is debatable!(ann)

Dear Arild( Instigator of the site) This is not a Christmas poem, it isn't a New Years poem, it is a "not-a-poem," with the theme said way too much about, all the words, all the theses, and modernisms, that in the end have killed everything that which poetry of vision, that is its true spirit.

What inspires a poem/prose? Tolkein.

In Poesiringen in Norway aninvited member's Poetry site this was put in 3rd January 2012.

An epitaph

Written
for when I go
to the land of no return.

Thank you
for being in my life.

For making flowers
bloom in my footsteps,
giving colour,
perfume to my mind.

Without you,
life would have been
dark and wilted.

Do not feel distressed
my time came.

I have not regretted
much.

Blessed with genes
that allowed me to express
my sense of existence:
in painting,
poetry,
and dance.

What more
can one wish for?

Thank you
from my heart.

How a walk becomes a poem.

Yesterday's walk 1st Oct 11. How a walk becomes a poem.

Every little cobweb hung with drops of dew, like filigree hammocks or intricate embroidery cups of grey the appeared to have a blue glow among the bilberry twigs, the colour of the mist that wandered among the tree tops creating a fairy tale atmosphere like a stage setting, unreal.

Ecopoets in Canada

I read the Fraser Village Univ. article about Ecopoets in Canada, (see on the net) and have my simple little comment:-

Many words can be uttered, many ideas and yet the fullest idea of nature we, individually, can only understand and experience personally, subjectively. Our conscious selves.

Maybe poets are the instigators of this understanding of our nature in nature and if so, one would hope that for the ecology teachers use his medium both in words, music and dance, thereby involving the whole psyche of each person, the mental and the physical.

Jayne is away a week

Jayne wishes to inform you all that she is indisposed this week, mostly and probably will not be able to help poets that she has promised to help, this she apologises for, but will address them as soon as she comes back. She sends her love to you all, Ann.

Poetry how we should write it, or not?

There is no need to criticise a thing because of it being personal, who says we shouldn't write things personal? Isn't it a free world, perhaps if one is tied hand and foot to the protocol of poetry as stipulated by the...by whom I do not know.

"Poets are soldiers that liberate words from the steadfast possession of definition.  ~Eli Khamarov, The Shadow Zone"
