Left handed

Left handed

Ten percent of people are left handed.

Seventeen percent of people in jail are left handed

Twenty three percent of left handers

Are more intelligent than average.

There doesn’t seem to be any race or gender relation

So

Nya nya
Phhteww blurt
We are better than you!
Fart in your general direction,
Take strike action,
Remove the majority!

And possibly every other majority,
Is equally lesser.

I strongly suggest
you consider every "minority"

If you are a right handed, heterosexual Christian male of western derivation and ideologically indoctrinated to neo-liberalism,
Watch out!

You are less than most.

Reminds me of George Orwell's famous quote from Animal Farm...some are more equal than others...lol...

raj (sublime_ocean)

should remind you more of revolution.
Is this my failure of writing or your failure to acknowledge indoctrination?

could be both ..but the fact is that my comment was based on my perception of it ..different people look at the same things differently...

Cheers!!

Mostly, as you perceived, a celebration of difference.

Thanks Lonnie

But bald people such as myself have much longer foreheads and thus must be most intelligent of all. After all, God only made so many perfect heads and then hid the others beneath hair rotflmao..........stan PS enjoyed the read

Never knew you were bald, I'm obviously going to have to revise my opinion of your intelligence [grins]

You are right Anna...and the most likely to go there would more often than not be our jovial friend Stan :)

yes, it is both trivialising and celebrating differences.

You are quite right about the hyphenation, its absence is for purely aesthetic reasons. Call it poetic license.

differences should definitely be celebrated

i was a natural left-hander, but went to
primary school at a time when left-handed was considered
"wrong" (yes, good catholic up-bringing...i'm sure left had
something to do with the devil)
my teacher would tape my left arm beind my back,
to force me to write with my right (i survived...no scars!)

i love the thumb to the nose attitude of
"Nya nya
Phhteww blurt
We are better than you!
Fart in your general direction,
Take strike action,
Remove the majority!"

the only crit i would offer, is that perhaps
these lines,
"If you are a right handed Christian male of western derivation and ideologically indoctrinated,
Watch out!"
could be expanded upon to include
more "accepted" norms, which could
help highlight what is being said

have to end with python (you started it!)

" Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries."

cheers

The word sinister is derived from a Latin word(sinustrum,if memory serves) which meant to do something in a left handed manner. There will be a test on this Friday lol..........stan

sinister early 15c., "prompted by malice or ill-will," from O.Fr. sinistre "contrary, unfavorable, to the left," from L. sinister "left, on the left side" (opposite of dexter), perhaps from base *sen- and meaning prop. "the slower or weaker hand" [Tucker], but Buck suggests it's a euphemism (see left), connected with the root of Skt. saniyan "more useful, more advantageous." The L. word was used in augury in the sense of "unlucky, unfavorable" (omens, especially bird flights, seen on the left hand were regarded as portending misfortune), and thus sinister acquired a sense of "harmful, unfavorable, adverse." This was from Greek influence, reflecting the early Greek practice of facing north when observing omens; in genuine Roman auspices, the left was favorable. Bend (not "bar") sinister in heraldry indicates illegitimacy and preserves the lit. sense of "on the left side."

Yes, there is even prejudice against left-handedness, part of my point.

I could add heterosexual, anything else spring to mind? I am not sure which class, working, middle or ruling is actually a majority these days. Part of the modern attack on the proletariat is to redefine working class jobs as "trainee manager" and suchlike.

The real point is suppose is that only a tiny wee minuscule percentage of people actually belong to all the "majorities"

Methinks you protest too much Jess lol...but if it's any consolation, the majority of right handers are dictators....in other words they use a machine not their hands lol joke :P

.....but what of those who are truly ambidextrous? never favor one over the other? Can even write two different thoughts with both/either hands....simultaneously.

I think 99% fill in the blah-ha yawn aspect of humans, regardless of how rich or smart. Then there is that 1% who will always strive to reach--think, write and act beyond selective and puny imaginations.

And they are the ones that write of the 99%.
