Like Jairus' Father

I feel this morning
like Jairus' father
when he saw with his eyes
the work of God.

Who is like Him,
I ask?
I've never even heard of another God
Who can do the things He does.

There is no room
for debate,
philosophy
or discussion.
I've seen Him myself.

The Lord took me to the pit
to show me how deep,
and fearful,
and hopeless it is.

But He took me by the hand,
and never released me.
I tell you,
the Lord pulled me up
to safety.

And so I share a common humanity
with the father of Lazarus,
whose son was snatched like a burning stick
out of a raging fire.

Yesterday, I heard these words;
spoken by the Crucified One:
"Talitha koum."
What I saw next was too wonderful
for either words or silence.

How can I do anything but praise the Name
of Him Who redeems?
Who shelters us in His gentle hands?

Praise Him! Give thanks to our Salvation!
Proclaim His works wherever you go!
Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

Hi whilst I admire anyone with the courage of their convictions and belief in something , I'm not sure there is proof of god, it's more to do with having faith. I'm not religious st all , but I felt it was a well constructed poem,

Lou

Stand tall, be proud to be who you are, give the world the finger!!!!

So great to see you my friend.

But...

You and John Thomas Allen are the best Christians I know, and you exemplify all that Christianity should be. A little moderation may be in order, there are wonderful people in all religions.
