( Haiku )

sentience rekindled
eyes are brightened, heart is thawed
smiles from a daughter

Traditionally I think this is a Senryu as it holds reference to a person rather than a Haiku that is nature personified. But even in that, this is a lovely smile.

"The perfect woman perpetrates literature as she does a small sin: as an experiment, in passing, to see if anybody notices it - and to makes sure that somebody does." - Nietzsche

Yes, Senyru.....I use Haiku as the prime set , ( senyru as a subset )... for those less esoteric than yourself!
Is my elitism showing? I shall stop this practice immediately! haiku for haiku, senyru for senyru, from now on when clearly discernible.

your visits are always enjoyable

Another good one, I love the image here, so vivid and intense. just call it "japan-esque"!
