Curse of the Nephilim

Here among the magically misled
it would be easy to give in
board the train
pray to the sky for forgiveness

but it's just like me to wonder
how could any man find honor
in the seduction or rape of virgins

The standard answer is
"his ways are not ours my son"
well, they certainly aren't mine.

I won't be raping your daughter
or killing your brother

and I will never condone your jealous God's reasons
or call you dogs for believing
my ass doesn't fit any judges throne
I am not above nor under any of you
nothing God-like about me
except, some of those virgins do sound appetizing

I'd be shamed to tell you how long that has
been misspelled on my computer ... and I

I had to Wiki Nephilim, which was ambiguous, they weren't necesarily rapists, reminded me more of "The Stranglers" song "Bring On The Nubiles"
teehee

I learned the word reading poetry from "Dalton" ...
he spelled it with an "f" but I do think either spelling
is acceptable, great word though ... "son of a god
born of a mortal woman" (virgins at that) ... it put me
in mind of the story of "Jesus" accepted by the Christian
faith.

Ambiguous ... Not in my book, or any court in the land if
the virgin is underage, but for the sake of argument, lets
say she's of age, the lady still has no choice in the matter,
whether she's talked into it (seduced) or a seed is swept
down from the heavens to give her the honor of giving birth
to a son of god, it is still rape ... or would be if one of us
decided to give some cutie the honor of carrying our seed ...

How many Christians acknowledge that the (supposed) inception of Jesus was rape!

Long before I knew sex, per se. I wrestled with the idea of angels or spirits impregnating.

However, I always love fairy tales and stories of Olympus.

Oh my, rape, virgins, and Nephilim, oh my!

We're not in South Carolina any more!

If I were to let too many Carolinians see this poem,
I might be run outa here ... lol

Thanks

The *holy virgin* was not doctrine until the powers that were decided (after the dark ages), a loving female figure needed to be presented to the masses to carry forth the business of selling Christianity.

It worked but it eventually separated Christian believers.

and it wasn't even a new idea ... interesting ehhh.

When you think about it, all of life is a recycled idea.

Except each one of us is an original.

;-)

The poem and our conversation as well, has happened before
us ... many times, and some were even killed for it ... great time
we're in huh.

wait, there's a knock at the door ...

not to worry. it's probably Jehovah's Witnesses.

Which by the way we all are, whether or not we call this, Jehovah or the flying spaghetti monster.

;-)

p.s. you just inspired a poem.. watch for it.

I think this is well written, but I think it is unusual. I appreciate your poem. I am not a very well critiquing of a person, but i do my best. I am learning how every day though. Read you later.

Unusual is something that I like, thank you for saying that.

Jess goes overboard, but has a good point ... trust in what
you have to say, and say it. If you like a poem, figure out what
it is that you like, like you did here, it is unusual ... and that is
an honest opinion that is fair and honesty is something that
will always be accepted by me ... and most others too.

thanks

Old dunderhead thought you were referring to the virgins radical clerics promise await in heaven for those who die in jihad. I thought this even knowing what a nephilim is. Oh well, a strong statement in any event and enjoyable read as usual.................scribbler

I have noticed that you haven't been around much and I was wondering if all is well? I hope that you are just busy with some happy project and that you and your loved ones are all enjoying life.
