The Mystery Experience

Wanted to share a short, 4 minute video that I hope, lifts everyone's spirits. It's truly amazing.

Love to All,
All to Love,

~Anna

You were on your way home when you died.

It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.

And that’s when you met me.

“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?”

“You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.

“There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”

“Yup,” I said.

Crying Towel

We all need a crying towel now and then, don't we? Life whips us, backhands us,
punches us in the guts, often unexpectedly. When do we get the chance to play out
the character we are in the best (and only) show on earth? Each and every moment
we live, I think and say.

Titles and Opening Lines.

Consider your audience, consider yourself as your own audience.

Consider the title to your poem. What does it say that draws the reader in? What is that first line that
is skillful, unique and would tempt the reader to go beyond the first line without groans and moans or to
stop reading it in mid-sentence because it lacks even rudimentary wordsmithing. Is it the same old
same old, rewritten a thousand times, and much better by a thousand and one poets? Do you really
think you only have an audience of one in your head?

To Whom It may Concern

Your poetry and your content IS one and the same. Let's put that baby bugaboo to rest.

Who's writing it? Your heart, your mind, your alter-ego, your soul, your spirit? It's all about you regardless of the subject.

Yes. You.

And when I write a poem, the content is all about me, my thoughts, feelings, alter-ego, soul, spirit, etc. bad, arrogant, stupid, over[-the top-Anna, etc. etc.

So fuck anyone that says we shouldn't comment on content. Ever hear of the it's all about me meme?
lol.

You were the top of the mountain once

When the uninterested carrier pigeon rode bicycles without training wheels
and political myopia bit into mountains of coal dust.....

You were on top of the mountain once
and the view was magnificent,

we were emperors of sunrise then.
