Daily for peace let us hunger

Strife let us learn to slough,
and to each other offer an olive bough
On earth if there is peace
our bodies and souls will be at ease.

Let peace dwell in our marrows
and its rumbling with ardor echo,
across every land,creek and hill;
every yearning heart let it thrill.

Peace the world desires,
and these most it requires;
a tranquil nature like a dove
and a heart filled with love.

The river snake dreaming

A ladder to the giant moon,
the shape and sheen of silver plate

A strange, mistaken creature lurks,
under a tree warped by night's make

And looks on at the river bow,
Mercurial, creeping midnight snake

What an inspired thing to take,
out of this shimmering earth?

How many times did I pass you by
as I flew into night for sleep?

Snake meanders now, below, and I
see the fog melting lights of

Your bus, as it makes it's way
slow, following the sacred scale

Your attraction

Where do you buy such class?
Can I study so I can finally pass?
I'd like my day you promised
I'm afraid you'll be missed
May be too comfortable and be kissed
But I would want my lips on addiction
You have more than affection

Remember Monday at college?
You got an amazing art of walking
You'd be Queen if I'm king
I've looked at you countless times
My heart having smiles
Does age matter much to you?
Would it be wrong to be in my view?
Remember last Monday at college?

Lattice Envoi

And these marshes, maybe they are for fools. On one side the cloud had a shadow flushed pane, the same as in twisting skylights.
A hand waved in filaments, a shock had destroyed the film canister’s continents and five strips hung near the gold, where a halved alien face brewed in this storm with a showgirl’s.
How am I to live in dismissal with these beatified peeks, as a small golden beetle eating through pink wrapping paper till the gift is seen?

Flicker To Flash

homogeneous darkness has no form.

how far can one see
into utter blackness;
an inch,
a light year
how could one tell of difference

but with the flick of a His bic
a cosmic candle is lit
Oh! Wow!
and now we behold

Light and sight
entwined
in spectral glory
bursting forth
forever
to shine
for eyes
for mind
for watchers of dreams

TO SEE

THE DARK TRADE

*THE DARK TRADE*

As darkness clouds the earth,
Papa soil seeks a space
To grow his grains,
But no light in the south nor north.

Blindness binds the eyes
Of the mama manure,
Not to see the tiny seeds
With the nitty-gritty of the future.

Greediness feeds the tender green
Plants in the fallow field.
Ignorantly the fig lost its grin
To the modern cultural values & deeds.

Looking for Peace

I've been searching all over through country and town,
To find a place to set me down -
A quiet place with a friendly aire,
When I find it I'll know I'm there.
I've looked and looked over land and sea
But there no longer seems to be
A land where people are loving and kind,
Where hatred and war are left far behind.
I seek a place where men are free
To be what God had meant them to be,
Where bigotry and prejudice have been driven out
And people have learned what peace is about.

The Colours of Kahlo

"The most important thing is to hold on, hold out, for your creative life, for your solitude, for your time to be and do, for your very life."  ~ Clarissa Pinkola Estés

WAR OF WORDS

Some people write in perfect rhyme
with almost perfect flow
and they spend a lot of time
writing poems in old style, you know

....Then others write what's called free verse
....They concentrate on message
....and being brief, choosing each word
....to express exactly what they feel

Some say that rhyming is passé'
something to be out grown
hardly to be read today
discarded like a meatless bone.

Beauty Is

Her profile’s not a perfect silhouette,
she bares no shapely leg or heaving breast;
the voice not of a nightingale coquette
enslaving countless men it has impressed.
She cannot hover like a bird in flight
nor even glide with poise across the floor;
she will not set a lusting world alight
where men are beating pathways to her door.

But she’s a lovely lady none the less,
the winning smile within her eyes one part;
a bubbly nature flowing to excess
shares love and joy that overfills her heart.
