Renga 10 Birds of a Feather WS Haiku:Tanka

Haiku/Tanka:

A heron stands still
yellow eyes fixed on its prey
an eel unaware
bulrushes sway in the breeze
as the spectacle unfolds.

Chirps getting louder
with one atop the other
both perched on a twig
flutter of colorful wings
in joyous mood of mating.

A squawk wild flapping
feathered fans beat the spring air
time to breed they sing
I watch the v formation
gathering to journey on.

Cacophony

everywhere
inside out
being eaten alive by
the fucking noises
rapidly repeatedly
and stabbing
and screaming
looking on the outside
cut me open
and pour out the plasma
so i can breathe
crack me open to
free out my thinking
the home in my head
has turned bleak and sour
the lights blinding
the wallpaper dull
the air heavy
the room empty
come uninvited
and pour yourself in
give me the ticket
to anywhere out
of this brain
trying to wait

flock of season

downy clear
a wind spoke
the agression
in the eyes
in the chrome glint car

the dream

her hair white as salt
fuck the car
the clouds are rolling it out
above
rain or shine
cant make up their mind
and i turn another corner
flick my butt down the drain
the anger sizzling behind my
shades
my fresh hair
torn clothes
like a broken nail
drawing blood

Notional time –piece

Time Yeah...
I too have not worn a watch
since the late nineties...

my cell is packed up

my sleeping timings vary...

so I rely only on my laps- top,
it sounds! Me

As I am jobless,
I need not bother about time
unless,
I have to catch a flight
but
many are ready to ensure
I don't miss it, right,

No not for me
but for their own peace,
good riddance
to bad rubbish eh!

A Possession In Memory

I walked by the waters of the years
There I saw many things as they drifted by
Your memory stared back at me with loving eyes
From bank to bank a glow of love materialized

I called talk to me I need your touch
I realized it was asking too much
The river of life moved you on by
The volume of water increased by my cry

I will never know if you still love me so
To me it matters not, as long as you don't go
Nothing can take that vision away from my eye
For always, even as in my dying stance I lie

The Mask

I come to you with sword in hand

That noble cause with no recompense

a servant of the people

I am the master of my fate

from the masters wheel,

with molten steel-and sleipnir

I ride the wind

my cape flares with justice.

There are dangerous men about,

seeking to kill me

my sword drips with blood.

defender of the oppressed

Yet from the roof tops,

I caught a glimpse of you,

flaring in your beauty,

awakened my ...fire.

your eyes touched me physically

CHIZELLE

swept
softness swallowing
light
the dark permeates
up leg lengths
the bannister
slipping like a staff
into the pool
below

the black fear
that trickles up the
street from townes
edge
the rivers saviour
bridge
rust crumbing
the steel plates
eroding like minutes
on the wind up
school watch

cars with no exhaust
prowl...a primal crash
out against the boundaries
of their need

The Story of Grace

A child born with a mighty gift,
her life destined to be riddled
with great pain and grief
as she faced endless trials.

In her youth, she has yet to learn
to control and tame her power,
thus her sleep is haunted by visions,
ones engulfed in true horror,
startling her awake, screaming
and her mother will come rushing
cradling her, softly praying
while she trembled, sweating.

A grain of Sand

Oh! grain of sand so fine scattered to the wind.
The camel didn't know of you as he set you free.
The warm air thermals took you over the sea to me
So tiny yet holding the universe in your body

I didn't feel you touch me so sorry I was unaware,
a speck of dust to me wasn’t really there, yet you lived!
I carried you for many days as part of me,
no wash, or shower took your form away you see.

i

Rogue memories
prisoners in a cage
blockages in the
arteries
of time and space

ii

Laced with sensuality
the illusion grows
the myth is perpetuated
the search
for the perfect satisfaction
intensifies
the more it intensifies
the deeper the entrapment

iii

Within your own head
within your own being
is a vast ocean
of freedom
navigate it
with cat like alertness
and quiet aplomb
