The Thief ( Limerick WS)(with spoken word)

A thief once went by the name of Death,
had stolen the Man but not his wealth.
In the day or the night,
while it's dark or bright,
but never been accused of taking the breath.

TOWARD OR FROM?

Autumn leaves arise from the road
and rush to follow me
each one bearing its own load
of some half forgotten memory.

My truck and I leave them behind
as gleaned fields take their place
with naught but stubble to remind
of grain field oceans they've replaced.

The dashes of the center line
flash by in a blur,
continuous as the tires' whine
or heater's almost silent whir.

Walking with whom

I walked with you, in the perfection of time
I felt the talk words echo through my mind
As we passed by, they called out all things to me
Of things I wished to know, as I travelled on my way

You smiled as the colours bounced away at my very soul,
You accepted that the think talk was the one I would know
As if we were to stay here for ever and a day
The words flowed as a stream, that bubbled on its way

Digital Drugs

Digital drugs are becoming the dread
that fears the world, youth are dead
with beats and sounds
that cost but pounds
the venom drone, on and on, fast spread.

"Don't play it again, Sam.""

""DON'T PLAY IT AGAIN, SAM""

I live between the moments
falling into cracks of Time
pulling myself back
into metaphor and rhyme

My poetry is the reflection
of my soul.
It speaks its mystery
not of one but of all

But I emerge invisible
and it seems my words
have lost their meaning
There is nothing more to say .
.
.
It's time to let go.

Breaking Free

There you stand before me,
a stranger in the mirror
created from a layer of lies
served over the years.

I hated you because you're untrue!
The fault lies in me, I made you
but now I want a touch of reality
to be the real me, not a make-belief!

My soul grows weary of your presence,
burdened by overbearing guilt and shame.
Get out of my life! I don't want you anymore!
I shattered the mirror to end your game.

Lonely tear (serious limericks)

I dare you to feel the hurt that is mine
You catch me crying some of the time
For my true love I grieve
Move away from me, "Leave."
Just remember for whom, I write this rhyme.

Hold On

All i can ask of you is to hold on
I know at times its as if im approached wrong
As if my woes song is all i dance to
As if im so empty when i romance you
The windows of my soul are blurred
With terrential rain, thinking otherwise
A mental strain speaking words aside
From sorrow is deafening, regretting when
You felt you were with a stranger
A man unsure of himself, a danger
To whatever peace and joy was intended
To whatever hope of the future has mended
I suffer slowly on a daily basis, i pray i make it

A lover translates desire

TWO POEMS
ONE

Adam n his apple

It was a depiction of a male’s apple
hanging within which seeds were hidden
they enjoyed and the serpent still springs
all love it when it does sting
in the bedroom darkness
that’s when only we get light
a flash of awakening
and
emerge with wanton love
a desire for more
that’s what, was the lesson
from the garden
ask no god

use yours......

Those blooming eyes

vertigo verbage

the clean halls throw shadow voices
echoes to the deep where the
sub service works
lip works to the inane and
subtle hazings

the songs the backdrop soothing
and foreboding
of the great seasonal cast
ahead....

running the new grounds
where the greater ideals
swim

a thrill and danger
about
from the cabin
