reveiller le tigre

humerus scapula ulna brachia
slither down the throat purring
throbbing cut off
the hesitant diaphragm
strangled breath

and the eyes drink in the motion
the pause
the wet lash blinking
the slow turn of the
throat
jugular

the darkness
swirls like snowflakes
falling
the tendril hairs
raising
on the flesh
swooning
smitten with
a bright cause
the puff of breath
released like
a halo

Saturn Lives

in my day
we got about
with sticks and pocket knives
turned out

abandoned buildings
breaking things
milk money change
to live like kings

I wonder now
how children stave
to deal without
the be in have

with cotton wool
across the land
who can hear
the trickster's band

hydrology

to vanquish begins with a flame
expanding while separating the holy
many left in disregard wholly
the rest become a quest to tame

without this contradistinction
similarity breeds in only some
homogeneous now not all in sum
purity leads to extinction

in each fall we nourish the earth
regenerating flaw in each new son
but each still stretches towards the sun
squandering revisited worth

The Veiled Woman

Say not that the muslim woman is caged
by the veil that she wore for she is liberated
from the lustful eyes of men which stir
sinful desires in their hearts.

The veil is not an oppression to her
It identifies her as a modest woman of faith
It is her commitment to her religion
which will protect her from hellfire

War

Above all
the last
was hope,

clinging like breath:

the newborn calf
the old centurion
across the divide
where elephants hide

Angry Again

Scream and shout
Tell me all about
How you hate my face
Why i'm such a disgrace
Pull in a crowd
Mock me all around
Tell me how ugly I am
Nothing but waste
Whisper 'em lullabies
Let them be at rest
Out and down going insane
Lest they forget
My name
Throw 'em stones at me
Let me be hurt
Watch the way I suffer
You be the judge
Tie me in chains of pain
Hot enough to burn my flesh
Ashened black like my heart is

Carnal Instincts (Serious Limerick WS)

Women are raped, who's to shame
Cops make blunder, who's to blame
dignity stolen
hearts broken
carnal instincts name of thy game

When Your Heart Breaks Down

When your heart breaks down
and you're stranded on the road called life
and Lady Luck is nowhere to be found,
get up and continue fighting against strife.
Reboot, restart and repair
as long as you live, the options are there,
why give in to despair
when you can try again?
In time you'll be back
to play the number's game.

Ground Up

rip burn
fuck fight
first bloody star I see tonight
brown box
short lived
crucial lesson
stoopid div
bristle
clench
fume and fizz
grind
wind
mind mind
round wound
simmer down
kasha for breakfast for Coco Clown

Mass Anaesthesia (Serious Limerick WS)

Is life worth living without being conscious
mute witness feigning to be unconscious.
Isn't this mass anesthesia
and forced pseudo inertia
a stigma to our social subconscious?
