S t u r m S o l a i r e

ripple seethe
the fire of your teeth
browning the down and mole
of rounded valley private flesh

you seek with your vapid hot tongue
to lick and whip with energy
that welt rise and glow
savaged by your tase
tingled midst the twixt of
tingled
bothered hot nought
you rough rouge rogue

scarred incandescent
the sizzle effervescent
touch the lividity
on fleshes tranquility
the gasp of memory
the tug of longevity
tremors pleasure
afterglow
...

The loss of Southern Sons - Execution

Today,
wakes to a red dawn punished
and sprayed in the blood of repentance,
compassion had begged in the
before, days turned minutes,
eternity now cradles repented
sons of the Southern Cross

They were more than death,
with courage they leave us
hope erased from eyes
United over oceans and
long confused with desperation,
the silence of the fall
echoes across the Never Never
they are no more or less,
cloaked in a mantle of darkness,
far from our red dusted roads

Damien's Lie (for title ws)

The air I breathe is of the dead or dying

words spew forth from swollen cracked lips
all that is heard through the spittle and hiss
are lies cleverly phrased

These acidulous tears are shed for no one
but a love lost
energy expelled in rage

Through eyes set ablaze
by Zeus's hand
I watch the demise of woman and man
sanctioned and doled out
by my own hand

I walk through the world of the living
but live in the realm of the dead
know ye well
that Damien Stryker goes on

VAMPIRES

The Impaler came a calling
in wee hours of a moonless night
while alley cats were caterwauling.
His appearance gave me a small fright.

His garb was not a cape or such
instead he wore a light blue leisure suit
and a high school ring inscribed in Dutch
And, strangely , just a single boot.

I was transfixed by bloodshot eyes
"I just vant your blood." he said
which came as no great surprise
coming from someone undead.

Frostbite

In your mind
the snow,
falls,
gracefully
but within your
picturesque fantasy
you also feel no cold

do not fool yourself

and in your mind
dawn is
the honest
but you forget
the gruelling hunger
that curses your soul

no milk or sugar please
I do not wish
to be fooled
with fantasies of grandeur

I want my truth true,

bitter and black

T i m b r e V e l v e t o r s i o n

glimmerslide
shotgunned
rode
Fan motor gushing
air
The vertigo green
laughter
clap

Deep the depths
torrid bound
the floor found

eyeglass world
bent eyeing cherry
legs
summer jets
lifting went

the motor stunned
vibrato
discarded tilted
sapato

dreamland vend
discard token
fallen to the slot
from rails broken

Lay lay way
ward the screen
world a crawl
away

Anzac mourn

Soft shuffles in the still shadows
sound beneath solemn postures.
We stand in unison,
surrounded by an aura of profound sadness,
as all, silently, await the rise of sun.

Face Your Destiny

Do you believe you can attain your dreams
without the sweat of true dedication?
You hope to receive when you've done nothing,
but there're no rewards for missing actions
A stagnant life, collecting fantasies
worth nothing in the face of reality

Reach for the fire within and commit
your heart and soul to embrace a purpose!
May perseverance be the steel of will.
and you'll be, a gift to all, not a curse
Face your destiny wiith pride and courage
as a true warrior in the coming of age

In their blood a nation raised

Before the yellow sun
tips the blade of long grass
Gently waving in the hand
Of not yet morning,
but not yet light

cliffs shimmer and shiver
of a memories journey
through offerings of life
cast in the utter horror
of the bloody
berth of a nation
Trembling deep earth ...

A lone poppy now stands firm

Before the silent throng
begins our Anzac morning dirge
I will stand in contemplation
Of the sacrifice made
In your blood

it is stained, tears rolled the page

V i o l e t t e c o u e r

Nuzzle vanilla warmth
extinguished in its
pungent push
like petals swoon
in jealous suns
Bask in vivid
exclamations
sing the sighs
that Loves refreshment
brings

Devour constitution night
each succulent and tender
star like sweets upon
supplicant tongue
innocent airs
tinged with dark need lairs

Slip hips into steady step
streamlined gallant
heady depths

mouthed pronunciations
glossy paragraphs
on thorn gloves
of tenderness
