Whispers in the Dark...

The night so dark,
like the maw of nothing
I stare into it and shudder
Blood running cold
Feel my veins turn to ice

I hear it coming and can't run
Fascinated with doom
Frozen to the spot
I must see what haunts me
Is it real?

Not so far away now
Closer with each passing year
No more the twelve year old
Immortal
And forever

Snuffling
Scratching at my door-post
Leaving it's scent
Rubbing against my ankles
Waiting to pounce

Humans Too

They say, let the blacks
mingle with blacks
as if the color of skin
defines a life of sin
but they forget,
the redness they shared
in the blood that flow
yesterday, now and tomorrow.

They say the whites are arrogance,
untrustworthy, unreliable.
In life, they are walking poison.
As if the heart is readable
from the looks of one's race.
All I see is foolish enmity
accompanied with disgrace.

Call Girl

Another story and this is how it goes...

I'm a stranger in a strange land
I feel a million miles away not recognizing my own hand.

My hell is not...sin,
Darkness, or air so thin

Wandering this place
Without a memorable face.

No horizon to head for
Always feeling like a fucking, whore.

Dealing with all the damn lies.
May be time to cut ties...

I don't need this knife in my back
I have time to keep track.

Everyone tries to stop me,
These days you fight to be free....

FRACTAL COMMUNUTE

the spring clear air
sips through the portal
the air conditioner door
half broken leans
thinking like a verse
unended
the quiet harmonies of
voices behind the
Motel hallway
have their say
on worn carpet
of Wurlitzer Days
and cobalt blue

Trump America

He talked about "make America great again"
Great for whom, I asked?
He incited supporters to put protesters in check "I got your lawyer fees" he said.

Where will protesters be when he/they divulge in this greatness? Sitting back drinking tea while he/they drink Trump wine?

He talked about "make America great again".
For whom I asked again?

He had secret service men throw out crying college students for being black at his rally. They paid their college tuitions and is not allow to attend his rallies?

Beyond the gardens

Beyond the garden's
serenade
comes out a voice
still loud
ere to the tunnel of non existence
they shovel

I will all along the length
shall be in smiles
as I leave the roses far behind
lingering in formaldehyde and carnations
or be those lilies

Donald Trump POTUS

Donald Trump POTUS

He’ll build a border wall it’s true
and strengthen infrastructure too
He’ll make our trade with other lands
bring power back into our hands

no veteran will do without
our fighting force will have more clout
The nations of the world will see
America stand strong and free

SWEEP STAKES (Acrostic)

S hades of blue and grey
W atch clouds above at play
E ach swaying in delight
E nacting a chore in sunlight
P aused when dusk makes way for night

S tars slowly made their way
T winkling merrily and gay
A wesome display dazzling the sky
K indling the gazers with a sigh
E nding their chore with a shooting star
S ilently bowing with a blush at dawn

S H U D D E R O F T W I L I G H T

blue stars on an orchid strewn causeway
the tide sways the soft longing
round wasting pier
and rusted flanks
crushed stone and weeds
beneath the step
are the only whispers
of the zeniths pause
of a day bent before
the offering of the dark
godess wander
channel markers shimmer
soft as silence
the reedy deep
converge to daylight
creatures sleep
and stirring in warren
dens and nests
the night creations
stretch
and blink their
early dawn awake

Facing The Doubts

Voices of doubts ridicule me
but I refuse to dance to their tune
for their words are a cacophony
that I have finally grown immune.

Where I fall, I will rise again,
Never ending this life with regret.
I know I have much to gain
if I strive hard and never fret.

To fail is to learn limitations
and to grow through experience.
Talking and planning, an incomplete mission
It's in doing one makes a difference..
