The Visitor

By: Mary Beth Magee

You visit for a moment,

Accept a breath of hospitality,

Then dash away again.

You share your company briefly.

But in that time, oh,

The magic you bring.

From tiny eggs to instars

To gloriously patterned wing.

I watched you hatch and crawl,

Grow, shed and wriggle.

You change your dress. Your

New look makes me giggle.

You give me joy and delight

With your aerial ballet.

My royal friend, magician,

Harlequin at play,

Dear monarch, share your gift

Of grand, exuberant joy

With all. Give us eyes to

See, and feelings to employ.

You set an example

Of living in the moment.

Let us live so our days

Are likewise spent.

Dash on, my friend,

Your destiny calls.

Send your children my way

When the milkweed grows tall.

Spring Comes

By: Candlewitch

Fields of springy clover

beneath my barefoot toes,

dance-happy feet kick up

a delight everyone knows!

Green, green all around,

a heart full of joys untold

rolling over and over in

nature's paradise hold!

In gardens of my growing hopes

tulips, buttercups and crocus

flourish healthily blossoming,

as Spring comes into focus.

or perhaps
nothing but an eyelash

you'd be the last

"I told you so"

Forgive me

I get lost in your eyes;
This describes idolatry.
Apologetically saying I'm in love
In hopes of monogamy.
Can you forgive me?

Following the strongest urge
Naturally; Rigidly
Putting essence in words
Empty; Simply
Can you forgive me?

nothing beyond.... beyond

nothing beyond.... beyond

when you go
nothing goes with you
but only a trait or trace
for a while leave you...
so again ...

I read it all
we go and just imagine
what and when you see
a dead rat
that's we also similarly

there is no beyond yonder
don't wonder all is asunder
we are here on earth only
no where beyond the beyond
all is theory
our magnetism purely
you call soul
reaches its ultimate goal
as the lightning from heaven earths
so does our magnetism

Who am I?

I am the sun,
the stars,
the sky.
I am each wisp of cloud
over silver moon,
I am mountain high
and forest floor,
ocean deep
and soft sea shore.
I'm each drop of rain
that ever fell
and every sunbeam
that danced,
as well.
I am as old as time
and yet brand new
the centuries stood still
as I passed through.
I am part of nature’s
elemental fury,
part of the heavens
and god’s great glory.
I am a spirit
free to roam.

Senryu Heavenly Blessings

Droplets of rain fall,
the dry earth embrace blessings
freed from gripping thirst.

LIghting grace

Finding the favor of a new start
with a process flowing down stream
emotions like love, comfort and passion became
a mainstay for returning to a human with life.
My mother passed oh very hard to accept
three years pass and my daughter died being only 30.
Parts of my soul were healing at a slower rate.
Years passed age of life were differences in health.
Maybe thirty years left before going home
with the thought of my final place of rest
receiving lighting grace.

Nature’s Symphony

In the darkness of the woods
My eyes adjust to the non-light
The shine of the moon
Seeps through the canopy
Exposing the beauty of the night.

In the quiet of the night
Sound is amplified
As if nature’s orchestra was playing
Music created for the soul
Lyrics which are beautifully simplified

The eerie screeching of an Owl
Intoxicating sounds of the crickets
Deep throated bull frogs
Each playing in nature’s symphony
In this theater, no need to buy tickets

At times it often happens

when two poets on any site
seemingly serve the masters

one comes across the other
one, comments
the other replies
well master reply as faster
ere the wilderness thinks
you have gone slow
and
the other poet instead of poetry
has gone to mow
Okay, sow
seeds with another

someone who may be faster
so reply as fast as you can
to a lady O man
or to a rascal
Lady if you can

Where are you now?

Say more to me in the words
Be romantic all girls seem saved
You stood on the word of swords
You standing and saw it shaped

Wait on me you are too closed
I cant say much under the blue
Just being in a world groused
Small words say like a glue
Feelings like a volcano aroused
Your stand inter soup

Minuets of the world and calm
Yet if you to be pinned
Super energetic like a rest cloud
The ain't no perfect glory
You can be out to a way in it
