Forged in Fire

Out of the darkness, he pulled me
with all his strength and grace.

He swept me up and carried me
through the fire.

He tore down my walls and
Used the stones for our foundation.

His hand kisses my cheek
And wipes away the tears

He tends to my wounds
And holds me as I heal

Forged in fire
Our bond is unbreakable

Blessed am I,
For I know love in its purest form

The Plea

I bent over
to pluck

the full-faced
dandelion,

its sun-burst bloom
beaming,

its pointed leaves
praying

as its tangled roots
clentched the earth for mercy

My Darling Orchid

tiny bud unfurls
blossom dips her silken face
humble elegance

REMINDERS IN GOLD

Today's journey took me to farms and fields
and past a five acre pasture
whose dark green was nearly overcome by a weed's yields
wherein grazed no cattle beneath azure skies
eating yellow weeds as well as green.

This brought memories of younger years
and drinking milk with cornbread
when my future was unmarked by fears.
With naught but good dreams sharing my bed.
Before my belly shook like jello.

You’re my ride or die

In an endless garden of flowers, I will always pick you.
And if you were a star, I would gaze by the window till dawn.
Because I have found the one whom my soul loves.
You are beautiful my love, the is no flaw in you.
And you are making my heart beat faster with a single glance of your eyes.
I just love you with every beat of my heart to be honest.
You are just like a moon, busy grieving on patches you have, unaware of the fact that your light illuminates my world.

I have found the one whom my soul loves.

Idyllic reverie during break of day

May today bring unbridled bliss
delivered courtesy sunshine kissed
giving Midas a run for his money.

When the last trace of night
evaporates analogous to milky hue,
whereat a dreamy state
pervades thy being from tropical delight
as approach of Dawn
highlights morning landscape Gaia drew
ah, a paradise
in pristine majestic light
arced, bathed, chiseled displayed
described, elongated, fingered gilt
heraldic imagery joyfully

Ps and Qs

Poetry provides a platform for creativity to flourish,
Phrases flowing freely with each carefully chosen word,
Powerful imagery painted with poetic brush strokes,
Passion ignites the written verse, a symphony of sounds.

Pondering the possibilities within the poet's mind,
Provoking thoughts and emotions within the reader,
Pulsating rhythms guide the journey through stanzas,
Phenomenal beauty captured in lines of pure poetry.

POETS

Paupers of the written word
misunderstood, neglected,
the poet beats a lonely path
to tell his tales, dejected.

Ripped deep from out his tortured soul
bare thoughts wing home to roost.
On pages strewn with errors,
that hang him as a noose.

Do written words bring peace of mind?
Raise spectres of his fears?
Do they bring comfort, set him free?
Ne'er in a million years.

I wanna trade in my stubby spindleshanks...,

(a poor excuse for legs),
and get me the latest
sophisticated prosthetics advancements,
whereat integration of cultured stem cells
into custom made appendages
allows, enables, and provides
unfortunate recipients of amputations
to experience sensations.

Crystal Sky: Rare Twilight Sky Phenomenon

5 PM, November 17, 2078.
A celestial beautiful phenomenon
Many crystals appear in the sky
People call it Crystal Sky

The last time crystal sky was seen
And the last time we met
Unfortunetly i lost your number
Do you still remember me?

Do you still have my number?
If you do, why didn't you contact me?
I'm curious what you're doing now
Are you playing with your cat Tera now?
