Congrats to all of you
I am so proud of all the nominees and wish the best to each and every one of them in their new role here at Neopoet. I am one proud writer who can say this - the selections came most highly recognized and I am happy each one of them were selected as they all bring something valuable and rewarding to this site.
Best of wishes to you Race, Pugli, Scribe, Seren and Crypt. May we resume the reasons we all as writers came here to share and learn. We have the right crew!
Blessings to all of you

Best wishes to the Neopoet
Best wishes to the Neopoet *Family*....including those elected. Unfortunately, I did not see what they are elected for. No AEC Guidelines. Perhaps that's for their eyes only.
I bow out before I get booted.
Blessings to all. Life is hard, be kind to those you don't agree with and learn how to take criticism without making enemies or complaints when you get the shitty end of the stick.

"No AEC Guidelines."
You are mistaken.
"Life is hard, be kind to those you don't agree with and learn how to take criticism without making enemies or complaints when you get the shitty end of the stick."
So, you finally have come over to my position. Wonderful.

um, Jonathon,
I think Anna was referring to the AEC guidelines not being posted publicly. I've seen them and I see no reason why they shouldn't be posted publicly. They are fair, reasonable and comprehensive.
Of course they will not satisfy everyone completely, that is impossible.
I guess it opens up the possibility of another shitfight about them but if they are endorsed by the voted representatives (the AEC) and the Trustees, then any suggested changes would need to be addressed by people standing for and voting in the next elections in 3 months. Any attempt to create a drama about them before that would be senseless.
cheers,
Jess

Congratulation to all
Even though I was not successful in my attempt to get people not to vote for me.
This is not a cry for support or accolades or reassurance, it is a simple statement of fact.
And even though I have a strong will and I state my opinion without remorse, I don't believe myself a better person than anyone so I will never try to get folks to do anything "for their own good."
I state my stance, make my argument, cast my vote, and never throw a fit because I did not get my own way. This is a poetry workshop and my assumption is that I am always involved with mature adults. When that assumption is proven wrong, well, I deal as I can.

My total support and deepest sympathies to you all.
Now tell us. How do we contact the AEC directly? Is it aec13 [AT] neopoet.com?
I know you are going to have a very busy session but I have two suggestions.
1. Open a suggestion box.
2. Create a new Forum for informational/educational pieces about the art and craft of poetry and feedback.

Good hands are strong, versatile and hard working
Good hands work well together and take good care of each other
Good hands build great things
Good hands take out the trash
