Interesting Guest

A hairy worm found a place to halt,
Smashing it would be my fault,
Thinking so I left it to rest,
Smiling to myself saying ‘interesting guest’
With days passing found forming something around it,
On closer look it was cocoon oval and hard a bit,
Within few more days it broke out,
There it was a beautiful butterfly no doubt.

Good to know that a new idea is worming within you as in the rough draft of this poem. I am sure you would be tweaking it up by letting the worm in your mind wiggle a bit more. I enjoyed the theme which I believe is about the metamorphosis of a thought doing the rounds in our minds till it takes a beautiful form. Am I right?

Cheers

Raj, this poem was written when I for this first time, happened to observe a worm turn into a butterfly. :) But now you have given a new angle to it, which I too had never thought of :)

It must have been truly a wonderful experience to witness the transformation live What was your reaction then? Perhaps you squealed and closed your eyes to save the event in your memory.

Coming back to your comment, it's nice to know that you have liked the way i looked at your little gem of a poem.

Cheers and smiles!

Raj, it was an wonderful experience. And as said in poem I seriously was about to smash it, but i didn't. At the end when the butterfly was out, it was so colorful, just amazing. God is the real artist. Couldn't capture its pic but captured it in my memory with my words :)
