Larking in the library

Time to hang the coat on the hook
obey the curator's chiding look
and stare at the roaring darkness till dawn.

A sleepless night of hourly chimes:
Aubade is worth two lifetimes
of rummaging for a philosophy of death.

Here is the Poetry, left on the shelf
by the fast generation, weary of wealth
rushing ever nearer, to the unexamined end.

Where all days collide and darkness brims;
He gladly sucked through thickest rims
to the ever decreasing circle of his eye.

I appreciate moderate constructive criticism

What did you think of my title?
How does this theme appeal to you?
Last few words:
This is a (very)short tribute/response to one of the great Poets of the twentieth century, and to one of my favourite poems. If you haven't read 'Aubade' yet, I urge you to do so. The clumsy title hopefully gives it author away. The subject matter at hand, so candidly dealt with, upon reading again gives an almost welcome uncanny calm, regardless of what some of his critics say, it is still a masterpiece: http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/178058 As to my own little work, I hope to develop further, and appreciate any feedback. Cheers.

Nonetheless the poem stand in its own write.

My only crit is the line
by the fast generation, weary of wealth
I'm afraid they are not weary of it yet, but they soon will be.
