Jingle All The Way

Driving through the snow
On a freezing winter day
It’s to the shops they go
Down the motorway.

They’re out to buy some things
Much to our delight
We love to hear those sweet chick chings
Throughout the day and night.

Chorus:

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way,
Oh what fun to hear the sound
Of profit everyday.

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way,
Oh what fun to hear the sound
Of profit everyday.

A day or two to go
To take them for a ride,
We like to hear the tallyho
Of wads of cash inside.

Though times are lean and lank,
Misfortune seems their lot
Still we’ll fatten up the bank,
Who couldn’t give a jot

Chorus:

Lets jolly them along,
With lots of mistletoe.
Then play this festive little song
And watch our profits grow.

We’ll bolster up our stocks
For all the girls and boys
Who, then in favour of the box,
Will throw away their toys.

Chorus:

With goods at twice the price
We’ll max their credit out
With interest quadrupled thrice
Of that there is no doubt.

So feeling jubilant
Let’s bow our heads and pray.
Joyful and triumphant
Because of Christmas day!

Christmas is a time of good cheer and giving with unhinged love.
You need to be unhinged to believe that, now we only give to the very young ones and the rest well we do a secret Santa which ching ching doesn't make the tills ring lol,
We make our own black Xmas cards, well sometimes we put a dead leaf on or the odd thing from road kill, like feathers..
Old recycled paper not from the toilet we let that wend its way,
We use to have lights but they are no longer working, thank whoever trod on them..
Load of humbug and money making trash, now the damn kids are trying to scare me into giving them money or sweets at the end of this month, do you think I am going to take my lovely Pumpkin and make a nasty face of it, I would make it into soup but they say I can't make a fire outside any more, and it tastes horrible cold.
I found a credit card the other day, it didn't work so I phoned the number on it and told them, they said it was someone else's and said to cut it up, Damn..
Where was I ?? Oh yes talking about your song a very cynical write and as I am so nice, it hurt me to read of such goings on and those damned bells,
Yours Sparrow

Though this one might bring you out of your cave. Lol I do apologise - I know this poem is cynical and I knew it wouldn't be to everyone's taste! This is probably the most negative poem I've written so far. ( wrote it approx. 4 months ago ). I probably should trash it - but can't bring me self to. Still it is an insight into my normal demure nature! Sorry I've always been like it! ( my parents nicknamed me long-plaity-long chops ). I normally try to fight the negativity off - but gave in this time. Still if nothing else it's controversial. Lol

Thanks Ian! I need a butt kicking now and again! ( I think ) -- ( is that negative ) ? He he

Nice of you to come by to read and comment!

Ps - My mum and dad hand out duff Christmas presents - as well as good ones! ( like used toothpaste tubes etc ).
It's a good laugh.

When I was a child (yes I was) we had a small sock at Xmas in it we would find a few peanuts a small orange and a few sweets, this was the bestest thing in the world.
Now they want a computer you can hold in your hand lol.
Don't you dare scrap the poem/song it's a fun thing and we need some fun..
Used toothpaste tubes well that only means you don't have to put a brush with nasty bristles in your mouth.
Take care and keep writing, Yours Ian.T and Others
