the savage

sunlight
reflects
from dilated
pupils
as introspective
contemplations pour
into sour sweat
that accentuate the stench
of self worth
enclosed in
the savage essence
of being.

I would think everyone gets to this point, self examination can be so worthwhile. Not everyone could write about it so cleverly the way you have. Regards Roscoe...

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.

Thanks Roscoe, i appreciate that you think it is clever :)

Peace love and harmony light the path we must take. - MDT

author comment

That we evolved from those savages who walked this Earth all those years ago is statement enough of their worth.
They had to invent all the things we have today to be other than what we would call savage.
I find in reflection that the ones we called savages from where we descended were very intelligent and had to be or die.
Something like an Arrow tipped with a substance that kills a creature for food, or even a Zulu who beat the great British army with a shortened spear and better tactics.
It is hard for me now to recall those many things that the savage taught us and survived for us, then the Gods arrived then a technology so that we could multiply to 7,000,000,000 on this planet, all from a stinking little hairy cave dweller. LOL
A very good write though no matter where a truth is,
Yours Ian.T
PS:- I arose this morning and ventured into the day from the other side of my bed, was this wrong LOL
