Uncertainty and Man

Uncertainty and Man…

What soothes the man who kisses cloth,
not looking back on friendships past.
To dive for glory like light or Moth,
travesty that of man not ever to last.

Can’t be brethren to one who’s highborn,
spoons of different metals does feed.
Uncertain are men who live off scorn,
always to be attentive to such a need.

They’ll scatter mere baubles at their feet,
allowing certain types to take their fill.
When such a service or times complete,
they’ll wipe their bloody blade with skill.

Not ever really knowing another’s life,
easy it is when looking on from wings.
Easier still when one clears all strife,
listening intently while Gabriel sings.

Rise, then hold that head on highest,
take your acclaim from those known.
If spike does not hold what we detest,
always they will gather at that thrown.

I love the message and your skillful use of language. Make no mistake the rich will use and abuse the poor then throw them away and they "in their high position" are disparaging and judgemental of the plebs. Still there will always be those who gather around them..to feed on their scraps.

Excellent poem! Rhyme and flow was spot on.

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.
