Thoughts of An Intelligent Animal..

Thoughts of An Intelligent Animal,
(Naked Emotion Workshop)

What kind of animal have we become,
with our uncaring ways and hurtful and
so very harmful intelligence.
We like to call ourselves human, giving
the name to acts of what we call kindness
that I call common sense.

Outside I hear the world evolving, but
are we ever given time to think why or
where too.
They keep us far to busy to stop and ask,
it’s more important to be thinking, I’m
loosing my hair, what colour are you?

This is the world our learning’s created
along with greed and oodles of misdirected
self serving skill.
The false monsters we care to imagine, live
in creatures, nature or space, and when they’re
angry they even kill.

We on the other hand are mostly peaceful
only having battles or wars now and then.
We don’t murder maim or kill out of hand,
there’s always a plan to our many types of
mayhem.

See we are the species human, unlike any
other creature on this earth, our planet.
Ok, I know we love a lot of triviality, and
when we visit McDonald’s we’re like gannet.

On the other hand we’re charitable and giving,
our old clothes go to the poor of other nations.
Do they still have poor? after all they held a world
cup, and had wonderful spontaneous celebrations.

Did we not float an iceberg once to give them water?
I know their countries are so very arid, I guess it’s best
to just say it’s dry.
Someone I know said it’s cheaper to burn or bury their
bodies, that floating icebergs costs a few quid, anyway
if they’ve no water do the even cry?

Oh well enough of this lark for one day, I believe
thinking is best left to those big corporate type hero’s.
I’m away to stick my head in our lovely new big box.
42 inch, surround sound with remote, and apart from
intelligent real life programmes it sometimes shows,
I can get lost in the tripe, and oh man it fair rocks.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
I believe this shows the true human emotions, self serving, greedy, uncaring, more worried about will our football team win the league, or will our party win the next election. It's been set up this way by the people with wealth and the power we've giiven them. We could change this world for the better, but we're all far to comfortable in our armchairs or computor seats. And by the many ways we get our information the thread of power runs through it. They even wan't to limit web content, because we're getting far to much truth far to quickly. I challenge your emotions, to truthfully contest this.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words

Bead and circuses have been the way politicians distract us since Roman times. The moron we have in the white house now is an expert at it. Thousands being killed in Egypt or Syria ? Don't look at that, look at the single killing here which resulted from a street fight. Economy still in the dups? .....But what about Georgr Bush. Smoke and mirrors and no real solutions. Btw , second stanza, line 3. You might switch position with those two words for improved clarity............................stan

in terms of the workshop. This is not a workshop poem. The idea was to use a concept provided by some else. an idea, and an emotion and structure.
Glad to see you withdraw it from the workshop.

cheers,

Roscoe Llane,

for the mask of disbelief that's left.
