Million Dollar Earth..

Million Dollar Earth….

Let us not worry about our immanent
extinction, when pinning the medals
on the pedlars of power.
Only remembering they served the banks
with distinction, cometh the cash cometh
their shiny new tower.

They sold their warring inventions all over
Earth, coining it in quicker than a million
dollar Las Vegas slot machine.
Having lived in the delusion of grandeur
from birth, accepting credit card, cheque or
cash, with the allusion to illusion that being
moneyed was clean.

Caring not for the general public in their
midst, it was not a problem for them, they’d
never be involved.
Only ever needing to make sure we were fed
our daily grist, it has been that way since
man from animal evolved.

From newspaper, television, radio shack or
Pathe news, they have always manipulated
the moronic general public.
Instilling in us their acidic, repulsive, and oh
so greedy views, elevating themselves to a
position of self satisfying chic.

But when they murder the Earth then they
will die too, perhaps that’s why they have
such a fascination with Mars.
They’ll haul their arses right out of this
humanistic Zoo. Leaving the debt ridden
poor facing extinction, while they go live
it up with the stars.

So my little merry travellers please wake
up to your fate, don’t let them sell Earth to
the first Alien cold caller.
Rise from your slumber and tell them, their
to late, that Earth is worth more to you than
their universal grubby green dollar

It's happening right now and we better wake up, who do you think they'll have first on the space ships. What price will they put on them...

First of all, they won't be the first on the spaceships because only us grunts will know how to build them. Money only has worth when everyone thinks it does; with nothing to buy, it is more worthless than used toilet paper, and even THAT has SOME value.

LOL if you haven't already seen it, watch 'Elysium', I highly recommend it.

Excellent poem, on a needful topic.

Unfortunately Jim it will hapen before we the common people or so they call us, know it's happening. In world war two the hierarchy were ready to fly the royals out of the country if the Germans invaded, and we the grunts would be left to fend for ourselves. And worse there are some grunts who believe they should be first, and that this and other countries are worth dying for. King and country and all that shit. Thanks for reading and your kind comments. Roscoe Llane,

for the mask of disbelief that's left.
