The Black Dog

The black dog

caught up with me

darting from shadow

to shade, I see the

bloodshot eyes

of a rabid hell

he stalks with ears laid back

slowly baring white fangs

my legs turn to jelly

the end may be here

In silence I give in

walking into the mist

with the smell of death

permeating everything

there is no running now

no escape from his hell

I am bound to watch

as he rips at my entrails

my last breath is ready

jowls dripping blood

consume me

there is nothing left

nothing but .......

I have sent the dog catcher to take the fiend away.
In its place a cloud of butterflies to touch your face with powder wings,
till mornings of sunshine return to your darkish days,

Pretty good poem for Halloe'een lol. Any particular reason for double spacing? Also yellow fangs might be more sinister than white..............stan

The Black dog in this is depression, I always say that the black dog is after me when I am feeling blue, I am ok though slowly coming good, I agree this would make a great halloween poem.

I have two different programs that I use for writing, one of them automaticly puts the double spaces in
