HAVING FINAL SAY

Oh! to have that final word !
for that entire nations gird
and go to war
how absurd

And you and I as well as him
so wish to have it over them
that final word, whatever for
truth and rightness become blurred

And diplomats and treaties too
seek it ever and anew
sifting rubble and the char
resulting from that final word

Will you give up child and wife
drive them and friends out of your life
'till all have been expelled afar
'cause you Must have that drunkard's word?

And when you lie alone in bed
at end of life and nearly dead
false teeth grinning in a jar
will any be there left to hear
your last word?

Not your usual write, but I have read this several times and slowly it is becoming clear, though not for you to be in a world of despair, where the thought of things to come slap you in the face.
I liked it and persevered with it (That I had to read a few times may be something to do with the clarity of the theme ???), however it could be me on a bad day whenever that is, lol.
Just one line can't work out what word the rbble is "Rabble ???
Take care out there will talk later, yours, Ian.T

shifting rbble and the char

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

I thought the theme (somebody willing to forsake all for the sake of having last word) was pretty clear. But I have been mistaken before lol (once anyway lmao). Thanks for coming by and thanks for typo spot...........stan
