MANKIND

Strange music
from the wayside shrine,
the wind.

The wind at prayer,
'tis in the mind,
creative brain;
mankind.

Belief in devils, gods
and kings,
all kinds of things;
mankind.

Dare devil deeds
and sudden wars
misunderstandings;
mankind.

Polluted forests,
human waste
fills all the waterways,
rots vegetation, blind;
mankind.

Dreamed Utopias,
when our earth is one,
soon to be gone;
mankind.

A lovely piece of truth written with your usual excellence, loved it, Yours Ian.T
Foot note:-
Kind
Kin'd- a word in a Hamlet production that harped on Kinned as belonging to a family..
Kind- as in Kindly
Mankind-Humon beings collectively-The human race.
This word should not be used to indicate that man is kind.
We all know the truth LOL.. Though I love you all can I be a Kinda something...

.
There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

The word man kind, it just seems all wrong. There's nothing kind about the human race, i know we have people who think they are kind. But no one can take a back seat, when we allow our governments to do some very nasty things in our name. A very true summing up of our race i'd say. Love Roscoe...

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.

Doesn't the kind refer to kindred,- people of the human race and have not a thing to do with kindness as a word.
I wouldn't go as far as to say man is not kind, nor vice versa, but agree that we are others and our own worst enemy, and SHOULD KNOW BETTER; having the intelligence and knowledge we posses, but like all in nature we never learn the whole, understand the whole, behave as if we wish all to be kind. Big sigh.

Thank you for your comments Ian and Roscoe.
Love Ann.

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.
