D E S U L T O R I U S

carouse damp bright
heavy hearted this dance
floating nimble limbed

our wicked waters wend
appetite whetted
strands of history swallowed

chilled brilliant
our love stalled like a sigh
the words begging beyond
the crowd

drape a touch beneath
depths
falling
leaping in grief

half mast roost
like a buddist prayer flag
snapping wishes
blood red
the tulip blooms
unconcerned

love stalled like a sigh
