The Library of my Heart

I visit often, the Library of my Heart.
Sometimes I go to reminisce,
and at other times, I find my self

browsing through the volumes,
as I catalogue them
and replace them on the shelves.

There are so many volumes,
I’m really quite taken “aback”, at times;
Because I realize that I’ve been so liberally blessed,

with these episodes of the heart.
And on any given day,
I’m always pleasantly surprised;

for there almost assuredly is a chapter
that I may have forgotten about;
or at least, a page or two that’ll raise a brow,

fill me with a certain sorrow, or even cause me to laugh out loud…
….and it really startles me…….the “noise”.
Because every once in a great while, I tend to forget…….it IS a; “Library!!!

Better leave a few shelves empty for the rest of your life..
Liked the write, still find it hard to believe that you are surprised at how your ways have been blessed.
Now if the future shelves can be filled with better memories, then life has been successful.
Never forget that the library is a lending library and should be open all hours..
A good write, Yours Ian.T
