THE BREAD OF LIFE

The bread of love, the breath of love,
the sense of giving all,
a hand, a heart, a taking part,
in life it's steady call
for things we do and don't,
those things we understand, yet not.

What makes it all a working form
that rolls and tumbles through this place,
becomes the shape we end up in the end,
a shape that clay-like gives the content of a man,
a woman, all mankind.

Our brain the living element,
among the elements of space,
gifted with our consciousness,
our senses touch the fear, the joy,
employing all our faculties to help, to guide, to steer
the vessel called this body
through the trials and triumphs,
aid our fellow beings in this tough existence, here,
until we join those elements, and then we disappear.

until we join those elements, and then we disappear.......''''''

just beautiful words flow
from an honest mind ...
a fountain of admiration
for human kind

A grand piece as usual, just the line that goes:-
"becomes the shape we end up in the end,"
The two words "end up" could they be something like "are" or was this intentional..
Take care young Lady of Norway, know we think of you, Yours Ian.T

.
There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

I have to agree with Ian this is a grand piece, I cant pick favourite lines they are hang together well but if pushed

in this tough existence, here,
until we join those elements, and then we disappear

superb ending

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” — W.B. Yeats

Yes we dance through life, the tangles of the brambles,
and the great open spaces, shaping us as we go,
and we end up just as we end up,
all different characters and shapes,
all beautiful human beings just existing as best they can.

Thank you to three of the beautiful human beings,
and love from sunny Norway. Ann.

I liked the sound of end twice Ian. :)

Because your work at various times reflects the themes of life.
Do you write for cards?

Not poetry so far Ffrenchf, I wonder what you mean by writing for cards, I write on peoples cards when I send home made ones, perhaps a relief in white in white, or coloured, or whatever, or even a poem specially for them.

Erik and I have published one book on Norway in English, and one on Andalucia, in Norwegian; having written many articles in magazines, mostly travel ones, we made Rock carvings, or engravings the aim to find in forgotten places, everything prehistoric fascinates us.

I am printing a book of all my poems for myself; also preparing one for the iPad type books Five hundred + poems. "Ann 550 poems" so that will be available there sometime.
My own book will be divided into smaller amounts, and each will be string bound japanese style, with illustrations as I think fit.; I have some rough hand made type paper for the outside. I have also written my poems by hand and then decorated around them, or vice versa. So there will be one like that too. Sometime!!! I keep writing more, one day last week I wrote 7 in a day. Son't now why, but I enjoy myself.

Thank you, love Ann.
