In My Eye

I close my eyes and there floats across
a dream of death
I long for refreshment of limbs
stretched and rested
like a childhood cuddle

I close my mouth and there wafts above
a smell of decay
I ache for the pungent return
of savoury delicacies
to tingle on taste buds

Now all is open to me
I feel alive and see
all in my eye
It burns with a knowing rage
and I taste contempt
A bitterness
too bleak to bite.

Wonderful

I was feeling disconnected and tense...Feeling my age. Supposed to be more wise when we age. I'm just getting pissed off with everything!

The end product is there very well written , now to fulfill its purpose it must have a reason to exist ..
Why are these images there, who put the eyes to look so????
A sadness of someone or just a picture in the mind..
Take care and I shall wait to see what you will do here,
Yours Ian.T

Just feeling grumpy and impotent...I'm seething really.

Great to be grumpy. I have another B/D this month and need to do so many things.
I need an audio typist, and have put my sense of humour down some place and can't find it, damn the thing it is always sneaking off of late, it spends a lot of time watching useless comedy things.
Anyway Ells I would love to go to work again and school and all those things like chasing girls etc: I believe that is why our memory gets so bad, we wouldn't be able to live properly if we could remember all those lovely things lol.
You take care and enjoy every day, if you ain't happy just up and go..

getting old, but you have said it better than most. I like the words, the tempo and darkness. ~ Gee

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

I hate getting older...I'm just raging, grumpy. A female King Lear. It's a strain always being pc, cheerful, on "message" upbeat and positive. Work is pissing me off...I'm venting. I can see beauty all around me, but it doesn't absorb my soul like my darknesses...sigh.

a fabulous place to work, darkness.... Love the power in this power.

Jenifer Jaspa James

And the less expensive stores...(The ones that are more poetic to Stienbeck) those strawberries
were all rotten save three...like teeth at this age..or maybe three quarters of my spine still works
as it was...(Forget summersaults these days and rolls) Or bread on sale that tastes like saw dust
We age...we are supposed to find the golden rays..moments...my tea is one of them and if I sit
crooked like a leaning old crag on a hill that the black birds land on for eyeing the scene..thats me
I agree with this poem.....gentle and brooding....Like Death sitting next to one at the bus stop..
"Nice day" says death!! "Whats good about it??"
I like this poem!!

"Like death sitting next to one at the bus stop"...wow, what a compliment.
