Love the words.
The title Tithe is this where the surf takes its 10%..
I remember the Tithe barn that still stands a few miles from where I lived in England, it had a stone roof and the building was quite large.
This was where the farmers and others would bring their 10% for the government in the old days.
They took the roof off once to repair it and replaced it exactly as it had been before, stone by stone. It is at Bradford on Avon, and another interesting place there is the oldest church in England.
A light aircraft flew over the town one day and someone noticed a building in the shape of a cross, they checked and it turned out to be an Anglo Saxon Church, it had been used all that time for many things even a public house at one time it is back to being a museum type place now.
Sorry I have drifted off into history somewhere lol,
Take care read you later, Yours Ian.T

There are many shingle beaches here in England , it is the sound they make as the surf moves over and through them it gives the sound of peace to a troubled soul.
Not sure if you have seen a rain stick. It is a bamboo tube with dried seed inside and pieces put through the outer skin of the bamboo. When you tip it over the seeds inside make the sound of rain , this is very calming also.
You have a peaceful day out there, walk in the ways of old for a while, they knew how to feel the natural energy and its healing ways,

I love to swim in the sea and feel the tide lift and carry me, and this poem has the same effect. Regards Roscoe. PS i also enjoyed reading Ian's comment, which explained a lot.

O look who's preparing for the workshop...hehehe Jess would be proud :)

And Esker, once more your poem escaped me. What was the importance of the sigh? It fits right into the poem and the motion of the tide, but is there a hidden meaning to it?

we had completed a grueling trip...the ocean at last
to wade in the freezing waves with all the others...
The ocean!! its smells its sounds its feel...the great
sigh of greeting it...Effervescent and welcoming..
when the minor waves rolled forever from one point
around the bay thats what it felt like...like the ocean
was sighing..to me anyway....I can still hear it..........

Thank You!
