The Quest of Two Mavericks, Similar

The scenery blusters by up close
and in the distance, the hills are but walls
and neither adds nor subtracts from anticipation.

The destination always receives “top billing”
however, commaderie with one’s companions…
and the destination pale in it’s comparison to, the journey.

Color my eyes with landscapes a plenty…
buffer my personality with yours,
and let’s augment the wait and duration with that of a kaleidoscope;

for we, and we alone own the hours,
our moments in waiting
to arrive “fresh”, into the future.

Gone, are our transgressions
absent, are our worries of the past,
and beneath us, are our concerns for the day.

For, we’re on an adventure…
A journey where sights and sounds pass by
and leave us to ourselves, while we abide in our laps of tomorrow.

We are in no way, in controll.
We started this quest as a visitor, ye!
But, only a visitor of a soon tomorrow.

The only thing we’ve accomplished,
is to hasten the journey on it’s way
and when we find what we will find…we’ll STILL be of mice and men.

The sky shifts to accommodate our eyesight
and great, are our individual lightscapes.
For, both of us Mavericks share a viewpoint…

and our vistas are differently the same.
We’re both each owned by our journey;
a journey that’s only trying to show us a taste…

..that will echo all of our senses,
and cleanse us from all of our expectations,
delivering us to where we need to be…

..on a journey of the NOW.
Where we might better learn who each of us are,
and catch a glimpse of who we might just be; in the long run.

But I revised this bit so that I could quote it!
for we, and we alone own the hours,
that are ours, of the moments in waiting
to arrive “fresh”, in the future.

for we and we alone own the hours of the moments of waiting for our future.

...and even though it is Saturday; I still did some "tweeking", even though it's really, the "tweek-end"!
