What a wondrous godforsaken hellish cold place to get committable

What a wondrous godforsaken hellish
cold place, to get committable…

Precious pieces in patterns perfect,
that’s how they made the tree of Yew.
Then wooden seating for sitting silent,
please if you dare, sit down, take a pew.

I have no truck with god or religion,
but that don’t mean I’m morally bad.
Can’t see the point, I think it’s a con
to worship a leader in a draughty pad. Fad.

Sitting in here it’s empty and so cold,
hell, they decided to marry in church,
Better not state my views, far to bold
that priest would reintroduce the birch.

Well it’s not as if they two are believers,
he’s a mate of mine from our first school.
She’s one of the all time great deceivers,
in here playing him and god for the fool.

Sorry, If I sound very sceptical about life,
but I had one of the most excellent teachers.
I learned that people will always have strife,
if they listen to these poisonous preachers.

Oops! look happy as they take their vows,
wouldn’t want to spoil a very special day.
Not even one of the heathen’s highbrows
should halt two people commit this way.

So I leave you now and be happy if you can,
my teacher? that was evils relationship with man….

Does one need to bind to another by marriage?
And all those paedophile priests performing the service?
Fake as fake can be
But thats all we have

If two people are commited to each other, then it doesn't matter if they are married or not. To each his own as they say,. Thanks again for commenting . Regards Roscoe...

A good rant quietly put out in a good piece, just the one typo:-Sitting in (hear) it’s empty and so cold, Think it is HERE damn silly words it most times matters not the line seems the same as is..
Take care out there, Yours Ian.T

.
There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Thank you Ian sorry about the typo, messed about with that line a bit. I was at one stage trying to convey the echos of a church, but i will fix it now. Regards Roscoe...

Hi Roscoe,

Long-time no write! Who rattled your cage this early in 2013? LOL I can feel the ranting anger...I'm looking at this as someone who tries to believe in something higher than the mundane. Call it GOD if you wish ( though you probably wouldn't)...Religion is man made, therefore flawed. Still try & believe in the power of love and that god is just each of us giving rather than taking .Evil is the flip side of Goodness. Yes, marriage is a legal institution contrived for the stability of raising children. People get married for all sorts of reasons and the hypocrisy is stunning sometimes.

I remember going to a wedding between a distant cousin of mine and looking at the pair of them, feeling very resentful that I'd spent money on a wedding present and that I couldn't see then lasting 5 years....sure enough 6 MONTHS later, they had separated!

Thought-provoking.
Ells x

I like your description of what god should be, rather than the hipocrytical christain leaders who side with warmongers and institutions that kill for money. Sorry starting to go off again, thanks for commenting. Love Roscoe..
