alone with the blues

I grow tired, weary in fact
looking into
the heart of loneliness
I shiver and buckle
at the knees

left alone I am spinning
looking into
an abyss of despair
I am swallowed
as glass tears shatter

birds of paradise
lay dead
the sunrise refuses
to shine
the orchid declines
to grow

beauty has taken a day off
and I am again alone

you so eloquently remind each of us, how we do in fact ending up carry our burdens alone....
At least this 'dark place' has aligned you with your re-newed creative abilities.

If it is...I'm there too! January skies all around me here...colour grey. Cold, grey endless months of drabness ahead! Love the line 'beauty has taken a day off'...brilliant summary of how I feel at the moment.

Happy 2013...hahahhaahha

Ells xx

Don't rightly know what's causing my blues ... It's sunny and hot as hell here wish it was cloudy and grey lol glad you related to the poem
