Election Day, 2012

America wake up!
Your people have been sleeping through
two hundred thirty-six years of
Independence
and now we must live in a world
of interdependence or else perish
on our neighborhood watch.
Your egalitarian dreams have been
stolen by
promises you did not keep
usurped by the goddess of capitalism;
she who knows not the promised land
of unclouded vision.

The colour green smells of tainted ink
and the path through truth is
facing all the lies to sever these ties that
bind
Goldman Sachs to your Rothschild mind.

Oh America!
Are you still proud citizens of the earth,
with your drones and patriotic wars for all the resources
of earth, are we meant to be takers? Is this the reason why
we have two hands and a deafened heart,
beating
to a selfish drum?

If each I that is We,
opens the one heart of awareness, we can stretch
across infinity and meet ourselves for the very
first time.

And what will we leave
behind,
America?
A small star in our
children's children's hands on the way towards
the rainbow bridge that connects us all
to our ancestors?

Is daybreak only for some?

Last few words:
This morning's poem. Hopefully, we'll all work together for Americans, for the world and for Mother Earth.

"those days are gone" Labyrinth Ear..."White Gold"

surreality of change
when wagon trains cut across native lands
and starvation was the way

fires of Detroit
and draftcard burning

f-16's in Iraq

everything is hurting
speeding steady
towards something
that possible might not
be too good

I shall enjoy my few
years
and still hold open doors
for others and pick up
trash

now to challenge the two party farce

cheers,
Jess

Obama fields the day
what has now
ASTROLOGY TO SAY ??
My predictions are all scientific
by the way ,
Next one will be
Hillary
may!

loved

but not Hilary surely.
Remember...
the first three female national leaders of the 20th C? Indira, Golda, Maggie? All right-wing warmongers.
Not any woman,
the right (meaning left) woman.

cheers,
Jess

But Im glad Obama...(I pronounce it like Alla bama)
re emerged as leader
at least for now

Because we still have our Steven Harper
after all this time too
so its just normal for our American Cousins
to have a familar face once again

thank You

However, we can take some Norman Cousins quotes to heart:

"Life is an adventure in forgiveness.:

"History is a vast early warning system."

"Optimism doesn't wait on facts. It deals with prospects. Pessimism is a waste of time. "

And my favourite: "Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live".
