RITUALS: ABOUT GRIEVING --UPDATED 12/01/2012

ABOUT GRIEVING

Then there is the silence
that stills the soul
and turns the heart to fear
stunned by its own beating
a visceral loneliness
and a longing for
the minute before..
the suddeness of a life alone.
the nearness of your own ending.

Ive had these
like crossing a bridge
in a rail car
the great open fleeting
of the steel

the mark left in that
brief moment

never failed to move me
like this poem

"the minute before"

Thank You!

something we all experience for one reason or another.
Thanks, Steven, for seeng beyond the word

did you mean to include the 'is a' joe?

a very powerful write, especially
'a visceral loneliness
and a longing for
the minute before'
- we've all been there

'Each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star,
shall draw the Thing as he sees It, for the God of Things as They are.'
(Rudyard Kipling)

Lines are the heart of the poem. Took care of error. Thank you, Judy

That fleeting moment is yours and mine, and as all of us that special time is never the same.
We can fight or flee to the arms that wait for us there, in that light, that is there to show you the way home.
If you should see that pathway, it is a final task for us, a task of faith Joe. One where all the things we believe are coned into one singular pathway.
Some that believe there is nothing there, will be helped, as all are so precious to the whole. If you take but one drop of water from the Ocean, it is missed by the whole.
I can only reflect on what I have seen, and what I have been told, this you have been told by your Priest, or from reading books, or your own special way of being a person that is here on Earth.
A fleeting moment in the way of all things where we change from one place to the next, there you will then understand the whole,
Yours Ian.T

BLAISE PASCAL (1623-1662)
French religious philosopher and mathematician, was
born at Clermont Ferrand on the 19th of June 1623.
The biography of this one is a lot to take in and would only add to clutter in this mind of mine, as he went from being cured by a spell from a witch to a philosopher in 39 years.
I suppose at sometime if I read enough I would find a reason for all things. Fear is "The not knowing" when you cannot find the answer then fear it is called fretting and not good for your well being lol.
Take care young man, I think to read "Moliere" would be better at this time.
Yours smiling, Ian.T
