Sometimes, at times...
Sometimes, at times
there's a feeling
at the bottom most pit
in ones form
why do we compose?
and
expect others to repose,
faith in what one does say,
poetry is just a manner to display,
the nuances of the innermost
depths of one's own conflict,
why upon others our misery
do we have to inflict?
yet the emotional surges
pangs of desire to be read
with a heart beat to raise
and showered a praise,
such a feeling exists in every artful one
of that neither you nor I
is an exception...

B-side poetry
in the passing of tumultous time
the lesser known works sometimes
rise like cream Loved
Here I sit at the computer
How I long for the simple days of typewriter
ribbon Bottle of bourbon and a favourite woman
crashing for the day or night
with worn perfume and cigarettes
but modern ages
now I have only the computer
and am old and require less
of both
I like these pangful writes
not for perfection of crossed I's and dotted T's
but of the feeling and intent in the work
Any person can carefully go over their work
for editing The publishers and editors require this
unless one is stapling printer sheets together
and hawking them on the corner
I like the pathos within poets
the searching
the anquish
the longing
delicious emotion here Loved
Thank You

You my dear Esker are
ONE in a million .
hope they give you the Nobel
rarely do poets get it
Hope you do ,if they ask me
I shall vote for you.
''''I like these pangful writes

but of the feeling and intent in the work''
how simplistically and beautifully put
How I wish I had
the kind of quill you wield
Regards and thanks for passing by
it gives me a space
being amongst poets,like you.

of thyself
I can only release ...a breath..

You love water
live near water
love rain
and so when you compose,
with water as your refrain
poetry will come out as
dew... then twill pour ....don't believe me
just try will you

I care if I'm read.
But never whine about it when I'm not read.
It is my responsibility as a poet to engage the reader's interest whether the content be my soul, a political agenda or just plain provocativity. What they make of the poem after that is up to them, it no longer belongs to me.
That is where you fail to be accountable my dear. It's truly up to you whether you get read or not, and get feedback or not.
Another aspect of that, within context of Neopoet, is the quality and usefulness of feedback you give to others. You might notice that even my very worst poems get a lot of feedback, it's not because I say "I like this" to a lot of poems, it's because I try to be useful.
cheers,
Jess

Iam still learning
I'm leaning on a learning curve
now many do read me,
if I read theirs
which is normal courtesy
Thanks Jess
